Jentezen Franklin Daily Devotional – October 23, 2026: When God Meets You in the Middle
If you feel like you are standing somewhere between where you used to be and where God promised you’re going, this devotional is for you. Maybe you’re not in full crisis, but you’re not walking in complete victory yet either. You’re in the middle—between diagnosis and healing, between unemployment and open doors, between heartbreak and restoration. Today, God wants to meet you right there, in that in-between space, and remind you that He has not let go of your hand. You have not missed His will. You are not forgotten. You are being led.
Anchored by His Promises
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you.” (Isaiah 43:2, ESV) This verse doesn’t promise that you’ll avoid deep waters; it promises that you will not be alone in them. God doesn’t always pull us out immediately—sometimes He walks us through. The rushing rivers of fear, uncertainty, and bad news may rise, but they cannot overrule the presence of God. Isaiah 43:2 is God’s personal assurance to you today: what overwhelms you will not overcome you, because the One who holds the sea in His hands is holding you steady. Your security is not in calm circumstances, but in a faithful Savior.
Living with Courage in the Middle
In seasons of waiting, it’s easy to think, “When things change, then I’ll have peace. When the breakthrough comes, then I’ll rejoice.” But the Holy Spirit invites you to live with courage and faith right now. Talk to God while you drive to work. Whisper His promises over your kids’ bedrooms. Turn your anxiety into short, honest prayers instead of endless mental arguments. Make small, steady decisions that honor Christ—turn off what poisons your peace, forgive the person who hurt you, speak life over your situation. You grow in faith not only by the miracles you see, but by the choices you make when nothing seems to change…yet.
Draw Me Deeper, Lord
Father, today I bring You my doubts, my questions, and my weariness. I ask for a deeper, stronger faith that does not depend on what I feel or see. Teach me to trust Your character when I don’t understand Your timing. Help me to fall in love again with Your Word, to hear Your voice in the quiet places of my heart. Stretch my faith so I can believe for what looks impossible. Grow my roots down into Christ so that when winds of discouragement blow, I will still stand. I surrender my plans, my timelines, and my expectations, and I invite You to lead me step by step. Make me more like Jesus in every situation I face today.
Grace Over My Home
Lord, I lift my family and loved ones to You. Cover our home with Your peace, the kind that silences tension and drives out fear. Heal strained relationships, soften hard hearts, and restore broken trust. Let love, respect, and kindness fill every conversation. Protect our children and grandchildren—guard their minds, their friendships, and their futures. For every single parent, every blended family, every person living alone, let Your presence be the warmth and unity they long for. Turn our houses into sanctuaries where Your name is honored, Your Word is cherished, and Your joy is welcome.
Healing in Every Place of Pain
Jesus, You are my Healer. I bring my body, my mind, and my emotions before You. For every ache, every diagnosis, every hidden symptom, I ask for Your healing touch. Strengthen immune systems, restore energy, and guide doctors and medical teams with Your wisdom. Calm anxious thoughts, lift depression, and break the grip of fear. Where there has been trauma, bring gentle restoration. Remind me that my body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, not a battleground of defeat. Help me choose healthy habits, wise rest, and godly boundaries. Let Your resurrection power flow through every part of my being today.
Provision in the Everyday
Father, I place my work, my job search, my business, and my finances in Your hands. You are my Source, not the economy, not my employer, not my bank account. Open doors that no one can shut. Give me favor with supervisors, coworkers, and clients. For those who are unemployed or underemployed, send unexpected opportunities
