Billy Graham Daily Devotional – October 19, 2026: Trusting God One More Time

If your heart feels a little tired today—tired of waiting, tired of trying, tired of hoping—you are not alone. Many of God’s faithful servants, including Billy Graham, walked through seasons when faith felt costly and courage seemed in short supply. Yet day after day, they chose to trust God one more time. On this October 19, 2026, the Lord is inviting you to do the same: to lean into His goodness, to surrender your fears, and to rediscover the steady hope that only Jesus can give. You are not forgotten, you are not unseen, and your story is not over. God is still writing.

Standing on an Unshakeable Promise

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8, ESV) This verse was one Billy Graham quoted often, because it points us to the unchanging heart of our Savior. Circumstances shift, people come and go, feelings rise and fall, but Jesus remains constant. The same Lord who saved you is the One who keeps you, guides you, forgives you, and carries you. When the future feels uncertain, anchor your soul in this truth: God has not changed His mind about you. His love, His mercy, and His promises are steady, even when everything around you is shaking.

Walking by Faith in Ordinary Moments

Billy Graham often reminded believers that the Christian life is not just lived in stadiums or revival meetings; it is lived in kitchens, offices, classrooms, and traffic jams. Faith is not only for the big crises, but for the ordinary Monday decisions: how you talk to your spouse, how you respond to your boss, how you handle disappointment, how you spend your money and your time. Today, choose one small area to surrender afresh to God. Maybe it is your attitude, your schedule, or a difficult conversation you have been avoiding. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you honor Christ in that one place. Step by step, these small daily “yeses” shape a life that quietly but powerfully points people to Jesus.

Lord, Increase My Faith

Father, in Jesus’ name, I bring my faith to You, just as it is—sometimes strong, sometimes shaky, sometimes worn down by life. Thank You that faith is not about my perfection but about Your power. Help me to trust You beyond what I can see. Strengthen my heart to believe that Your Word is true, even when my circumstances argue otherwise. Teach me to listen for Your voice through Scripture and the gentle nudging of Your Spirit. Grow my faith so that I depend less on my own understanding and more on Your wisdom. As Billy Graham preached for decades, turn my eyes away from myself and fully toward the cross, where my hope is anchored forever.

Covering Our Homes in God’s Peace

Lord, I lift my family and loved ones to You. You see every strained relationship, every unspoken concern, every prodigal heart, every hidden fear. Bring reconciliation where there has been distance or misunderstanding. Heal old wounds and soften hard places. Let my home be a place of peace and prayer, not tension and turmoil. Give us the courage to say “I’m sorry” and the grace to say “I forgive you.” Draw our children and grandchildren close to You; let them encounter Jesus in a personal, life-changing way. Protect marriages, strengthen single parents, comfort widows and widowers, and surround our whole family with the shelter of Your unfailing love.

Strength for Body, Mind, and Spirit

Gracious Lord, You know the aches we carry in our bodies and the heaviness we sometimes carry in our hearts. For those battling chronic pain, serious diagnoses, or quiet health fears, I ask for Your healing touch. Guide doctors, nurses, and all who provide care. Give us wisdom in how we eat, rest, move, and manage stress. Calm anxious thoughts and lift the cloud of depression. Remind us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, created with purpose. Where complete physical healing has not yet come, pour out supernatural strength, comfort, and peace. Let our weakness become a doorway for Your power to be displayed.

God’s Hand in Work and Finances

Father, You are Jehovah Jireh, my Provider. I bring my work, my job search, my business, my studies, and my finances to You. Open doors that no one can shut, and
