Todd White – Daily Devotional October 15, 2026

Right where you are, in the middle of whatever this week has thrown at you, God sees you. He is not distant, not distracted, and not disappointed for reaching out again. Today, He is inviting you to come a little closer, to trust Him a little deeper, and to expect His goodness even in places that still feel broken. This devotional is a moment to breathe, to reset your heart, and to remember that the Father who loves you is still writing your story. You are not stuck. You are not forgotten. You are in the hands of a faithful God.

Anchored by a Promise

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5–6, NIV)

These verses cut straight through our tendency to overthink, to fix everything ourselves, and to carry what was never meant to sit on our shoulders. God doesn’t ask you to understand the whole path; He asks you to trust the One who knows the path perfectly. Submitting your ways to Him is not surrendering to defeat—it’s handing the steering wheel back to the One who sees the road ahead. When your heart leans into Him rather than your fears, confusion, or pain, He straightens what feels tangled, and He leads you step by step into the plans He designed for your life.

Walking Out Faith in the Real World

Faith is not just what happens on Sunday; it’s what you do at 6:30 a.m. when you don’t want to get out of bed, or when your bank account is low, or when a loved one won’t return your calls. Trusting God looks like taking the next right step even when your emotions are screaming for an easier way. It’s opening your Bible when you’d rather scroll your phone. It’s offering encouragement when you yourself feel drained. It’s choosing forgiveness when resentment feels more satisfying. As you live this out, the Holy Spirit grows resilience in you. Your faith muscles get stronger not by avoiding hardship, but by meeting every situation with, “Father, I trust You here, too.”

Closer to the Father’s Heart

Lord, today I bring You my doubts and distractions. I ask You to deepen my faith beyond feelings and circumstances. Teach me to hear Your voice in the noise of my day. I surrender the need to control every outcome and choose instead to rest in Your wisdom. Grow in me a hunger for Your Word and a tenderness toward Your presence. Break off fear, shame, and the lie that I am alone. Fill me afresh with the Holy Spirit—ignite bold, childlike trust. Let my life reflect Jesus in the way I speak, think, and love. Shape my desires so that what I want most is what You want most. I choose You again today.

Grace Over Our Homes

Father, I lift my family and loved ones to You. You know every story, every tension, every hidden tear. I ask for Your peace to settle over our home like a warm blanket. Heal strained relationships, soften hard hearts, and dismantle unforgiveness. Bring prodigals home—in body, mind, and spirit. Guard our conversations so that our words build and don’t destroy. Give parents divine wisdom and patience; give children teachable hearts and security in Your love. Let our homes be places where Your presence is welcome, where worship feels natural, and where every person senses, “I am loved, I am safe, I belong.”

Strength for Body and Soul

Lord Jesus, You are the Healer. I stand in faith for physical, emotional, and mental wholeness. Touch every part of our bodies that is in pain or weakness. Restore energy to the exhausted, sleep to the restless, and appetite to those weighed down by anxiety or depression. Heal memories that still sting, and silence the inner voices that accuse and condemn. Replace fear with courage and heaviness with joy. Help us steward our bodies wisely—through rest, healthy choices, and boundaries—and remind us that we are temples of the Holy Spirit, not mistakes or afterthoughts. Let Your resurrection power flow through every cell and every thought.

Work, Finances, and Open Doors

Father, You are Jehovah Jireh—my Provider. I bring my job, my career decisions, my bills, and my financial worries before You. Where there is
