Craig Groeschel Daily Devotional – October 12, 2026
This might feel like just another Monday on the calendar, but God has already stepped into your October 12, 2026. He knows what you are walking into today—the meetings, the bills, the doctor’s report, the family tensions, the private battles no one else sees. If your heart feels stretched, tired, or a little uncertain about the future, you are not alone. God is closer than your next breath, and He is inviting you to lean into Him, not just for a moment of inspiration, but for a day of steady grace. Today, as we gather our hearts around this devotional, imagine Jesus sitting right beside you, gently lifting your chin and reminding you: “I’m not finished with you. I’m working even now.”
Anchored in God’s Promise
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5–6, NIV) These verses call us to surrender the illusion that we must figure everything out. God doesn’t ask you to understand every detail; He asks you to trust Him with your whole heart. When you acknowledge Him in your schedule, your decisions, your worries, He promises to direct your steps. Straight paths don’t mean easy paths, but they do mean guided paths—shaped by His love, wisdom, and timing.
Walking Through Today with Kingdom Perspective
You might be staring down deadlines, tough conversations, or financial pressure today. Instead of carrying it alone, pause and invite God into each part of your day. Before you answer that email, whisper, “Lord, guide my words.” Before you step into that difficult meeting, breathe, “Jesus, go before me.” When anxious thoughts rise, choose to replace them with truth: “God is with me. God is for me. God is working in this.” Spiritual growth doesn’t happen only in church services; it happens on Mondays in traffic, at the kitchen sink, on the job site, and in the quiet worries of the night. Ask the Holy Spirit to turn ordinary moments into holy ground where your faith grows, your patience deepens, and your trust in God’s goodness becomes unshakable.
Drawing Near in Faith and Surrender
Father, today I bring You my faith, even where it feels small or shaky. Grow in me a deeper trust that doesn’t depend on circumstances. Help me move from fear-driven decisions to Spirit-led obedience. I surrender my plans, my pace, and my expectations to You. Teach me to listen for Your voice in Scripture, in moments of stillness, and in the wise counsel of godly people around me. Strengthen my resolve to follow You when it’s easy and when it’s costly. Let my heart be soft, my ears open, and my will aligned with Yours. Shape my character, purify my motives, and make me more like Jesus in the way I love, speak, and serve today.
Covering Our Homes with God’s Peace
Lord, I lift my family and loved ones to You. Bring unity where there has been misunderstanding, tenderness where there has been frustration, and forgiveness where there has been hurt. Guard our conversations so that our words build and do not tear down. Let our home be a place of refuge from the noise and pressure of the world—a place where Your presence is felt and Your peace rules. Cover marriages, parents, children, and extended family with Your wisdom and protection. Heal broken relationships, restore joy, and teach us to serve one another in love. May our homes reflect the heart of Christ.
Strength for Body, Mind, and Soul
Heavenly Father, You know every ache, diagnosis, and hidden pain. I invite Your healing touch over my body, my mind, and my emotions. Strengthen my immune system, calm my nervous thoughts, regulate what is out of balance, and restore what has been damaged. For those battling chronic illness, depression, anxiety, or exhaustion, pour out fresh grace and endurance. Remind us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, worthy of care and rest. Lead us to wise doctors, good counsel, and healthy habits. As we wait for full healing, let Your presence be our comfort and Your joy be our strength.
Inviting God into Work and Provision
Lord, I place my work and finances into Your faithful hands. Bless the work of my mind and my hands.
