Jentezen Franklin Daily Devotional – October 11, 2026: Hope in the Waiting
If your heart feels tired today—tired of waiting, tired of praying, tired of believing—you are not alone. God sees you right where you are. Nothing about your situation has slipped past His attention. You may feel delayed, but you are not forgotten. As you pause for a few moments with this devotional, allow the Holy Spirit to breathe fresh hope into you. God is still writing your story, and today can be a turning point in how you trust Him, even when you cannot yet see the outcome.
Anchored by God’s Promise
“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.” (Hebrews 10:23, NKJV) This verse invites you to do something that feels almost impossible when life hurts: hold fast without wavering. Notice that your hope is not anchored in your performance, your feelings, or your circumstances. It is anchored in a Person—“He who promised is faithful.” God’s faithfulness is steady when your emotions are not. When fear whispers, “It will never change,” this verse answers, “My God doesn’t break His word.” Today, cling to His character, not your understanding. His timing may confuse you, but His heart toward you is always good.
Living Hope in Ordinary Moments
Hope is not just for Sunday mornings; it is for Monday commutes, late-night bills, and hard conversations at the kitchen table. When anxiety tries to set the tone for your day, you can choose a different narrative. Instead of rehearsing everything that could go wrong, speak what God has said is true. Open your Bible before you open your social media. Whisper a short prayer before you answer that difficult email. Invite Jesus into the practical moments—washing dishes, driving to work, caring for kids, studying for exams. Spiritual growth happens when you practice trusting God in ordinary places, one small decision at a time. The Holy Spirit wants to strengthen you so that you respond from faith instead of fear.
Seeking a Deeper Walk of Faith
Father, in the name of Jesus, I ask You to deepen my faith today. Where I have allowed doubt to fill my thoughts, wash me with Your truth. Help me to trust You with the parts of my life that don’t make sense yet. Grow my spiritual roots so that I am not tossed around by every problem or emotion. Teach me to hear Your voice more clearly as I read Your Word and pause in quiet before You. Let my faith not be based on what I feel, but on who You are. I surrender my plans, my fears, and my expectations, and I choose to believe that You are working, even when I cannot see it.
Covering Our Families in God’s Peace
Lord, I lift my family and loved ones to You. You see every marriage, every child, every parent, every single person connected to my life. Bring peace to our homes where there has been tension and misunderstanding. Heal broken relationships and soften hardened hearts. Let forgiveness flow where hurtful words have been spoken. Protect our children from confusion and fear. Surround our homes with Your presence, so that when we walk through the door, we feel Your calm and Your love. Guide us to pray together, talk honestly, and encourage one another. Let our households be places where Your name is honored and where Your joy is visible.
Strength for Body, Mind, and Soul
God, I bring my health before You—every ache, every diagnosis, every unspoken worry. You are Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals. Touch my body with Your healing power and give wisdom to every doctor, nurse, and caregiver involved in my life. Strengthen my immune system, regulate what is out of balance, and restore what has been damaged. Calm my mind where anxiety has been screaming. Lift the heaviness of depression and replace it with Your hope. Renew my energy to do what You have called me to do. Teach me to steward my body and emotions well, to rest when I need rest, and to speak life over my health, not fear.
God’s Hand in Work and Provision
Father, I place my work, my finances, and every opportunity into Your hands. You are my Source, not my paycheck, not the economy, not other people. Open doors that no one can shut and close doors that are not from You. Give me favor with supervisors, coworkers, clients, and those I serve. Grant me
