Today’s Sermon: Trusting God’s Plan (Genesis 50:20)

Now, let’s dive into today’s message. Our key passage is Genesis 50:20:

“You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done—the saving of many lives.”

🙏 Prayer: Lord, thank You for this powerful truth. Let it take root in our hearts, shift our perspectives, and strengthen our trust in You. We know You are faithful and good. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

This verse is a profound reminder that while others may intend harm, God always has a greater plan. No matter what we face, God is working behind the scenes to bring good from every situation.

There are always two realities happening at once:
1️⃣ The physical reality—what we see and experience.
2️⃣ The divine reality—God’s greater purpose at work.

No matter what challenges we walk through, we can trust that God is moving for our good. Amen?

A Personal Testimony: God’s Redemption in My Family

Before we continue, I want to share something personal with you. My family has gone through a lot of changes, and since you all are like family to me, I’d love to show you some pictures.

Many of you know my story—I walked through a devastating divorce years ago. It was one of the hardest seasons of my life, but in God’s goodness, He healed my heart and helped me trust again.

A New Beginning: Last year in January, God brought an amazing man into my life, and we got married. His name is Chaz, and he’s right here in the front row—hey, babe!

Blending our families has been a journey. I have five children, and Chaz has two younger ones. Four of my kids are married, and one is in a serious relationship. That means when we all gather, I bring 10 people to the table.

👶 Grandchildren: When we got married, I had three grandkids. But in 2024, something incredible happened—five more grandchildren were born!

🎉 Total family count:

  • My side: 18 people
  • Chaz’s side: 2 people
    ➡️ That’s 20 of us in total!

Let me introduce my precious grandkids:

  • First three: Susie, Selena, and Riser
  • Twins born in February: Legend and London (Happy 1st Birthday today! 🎂)
  • Little Winnie (short for Windsor Elle)
  • River and Percy, born in November

Family is such a gift, but let me be honest—we’ve been through a lot. It’s easy to look at smiling pictures and think, What a perfect family! But the truth is, like many of you, we’ve faced heartbreak, challenges, and struggles.

One of my biggest battles was broken trust. My past hurt made it difficult to trust others, and without realizing it, I began projecting my trust issues onto God.

Trust is the foundation of every relationship. When trust is broken, it starves a relationship of life, sometimes even causing it to wither.

But here’s the good news: Even when we struggle to trust, God remains faithful.
