A Blessed Morning Prayer To Start Your Day

Prayer for the day December 20, 2023!

Lord, when I am discouraged, take away the blindness of my wavering faith. You are with me always. Forgive my ungrateful heart.

Dear Heavenly Father,

On this Wednesday morning, we come before you with grateful hearts, thanking you for the gift of a new day. We acknowledge that you are the source of all life, and we praise you for your goodness and faithfulness.

As we begin this day, we ask for your guidance and wisdom. Help us to make wise choices and to seek your will in all that we do. Give us the strength and courage to face any challenges that may come our way.

We pray for those who are struggling this morning, those who are facing sickness, grief, or hardship. Comfort them and give them peace, and surround them with your love.

We ask for your blessings upon our families, our friends, and our communities. May we be agents of your love and grace, showing kindness and compassion to those around us.

Finally, we pray for your protection over us as we go about our day. Keep us safe from harm and danger, and help us to be mindful of your presence with us always.

We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

Amen.

Psalm 23:1–3
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.”

Wednesday Morning Prayers

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and self-discipline. – 2 Timothy 1:7
Lord, this Wednesday morning I ask that I would not walk in fear. That I would not be subject to the fear of man, but I would walk in Your power, love, and self-discipline. Help me Lord not to partner with the lies of the enemy that would make be anxious or worry about situations.

But let my heart trust in You O’ Lord! Knowing that You will take care of me and my family. Your Word is clear that You will never leave nor forsake me. I thank You for that! And I give you all the praise and glory! In Jesus’ name, amen.

Precious Jesus, I praise You today! Thank You for this beautiful Wednesday morning. Thank you for your protection over my family. I ask that today that my lips would be filled with praise and worship. That this day would bring You glory, for You are good and kind, Lord. Thank You, for Your salvation that brings me so much joy. Bless this Wednesday Lord, in the name of Jesus, amen!

The Bible tells us over and over again.
Do not love the world.
The Bible tells us that friendship with the world is inimity with Gaul, which means if you love the world, you are in opposition to god.
Now it’s no secret that the world we live in is filled with sin.
The Bible in 2nd Corinthians chapter 4 verse 4 says, in their case, the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ.
Who is the image of god.
The god of this world is Satan, and clearly the message we’re being given here is that the devil is very influential on this earth.
Whether you see it or not, whether you believe it, or not.
The devil can and has influence on the ideals, opinions, and standards in this world.
The devil has managed to embed himself and blend into society.
He’s normalized sin and perversion in this world.
In this day and age, we really have to be careful. When it comes to what we consume.
And by this, I mean, we’ve gotta start asking ourselves some questions.
Who is the man or woman that you’re listening to? Who is your spiritual leader?
And furthermore, what are they teaching you? Are they biblical teachers, or are they really motivational speakers?
Are they seeking to advance their own power and gain wealth and influence, or are they seeking to preach and teach about the kingdom of god?
The Bible says in matthew 7 verses 15 through 17. Be aware of the false prophets.
Teachers who come to you dressed as sheep, appearing gentle and innocent, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
By their fruit, you will recognize them.
That is by their contrived doctrine and self focus.
Do people pick grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles?
Even so, Every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the unhealthy tree bears bad fruit.
As believers, we need to know the word of god for ourselves.
We need to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ because there are many people out in the world who stand and appear to be people of god.
When in fact, if you listen closely, if you pray for discernment, you will find them to be wolves, in sheep’s clothing.
And this is why it’s crucial for us to take time to educate ourselves.
We have to take Now, saints the true gospel of Jesus Christ, it calls us to repentance, but what’s happening is that some who call themselves preachers are really sugarcoating the gospel.
And the gospel that they preach It tells you that you’re forgiven, but it does not call you to repent.
It calls you love. And it talks about god’s mercy, and all that is true.
But it does not correct you. It doesn’t tell you to carry your cross.
It doesn’t tell you to crucify your flesh.
And this is the very reason that we have to be careful.
We cannot just listen. To anyone and everyone.
We cannot just open up our spirits to receive any doctrine that’s out there.
You see, the real gospel of Jesus Christ, it will challenge you.
The real gospel of Jesus Christ Oh, it will convict you.
It will lead you to a change in your sinful habits, and it will cause you to desire to repent.
You see, the gospel does not teach you that you are forgiven, but you can keep living the way that you were.
That would be cheap grace. Real grace? Real grace?
Teaches us to turn away from sin. It teaches us that we must sacrifice.
It reminds us to be humble.
It instructs us to love others as we love ourselves. The real gospel.
It teaches us that life often gets hard after we begin following Jesus.
But despite the many afflictions of the righteous, the lord delivers out of them all.
You see, one of the reasons that people often preach the sugar coated gospel is because they’re worried that the real gospel will offend people.
They’re worried that if they tell people that they need to repent, they’ll lose their congregation or maybe get bad publicity So instead, they settle for feel good messages only.
They settle for a gospel. That tickles the ears. But listen saints.
We ought to seek out the real servants of god.
The real teachers of the word of god because it’s the true gospel that changes the heart of the hearer.
It’s the true gospel that can pierce any hardened heart, and it calls people to obedience and to repentance.
Now,
first John, chapter 4 verse 4 says, little children, believers, dear ones, you are of god.
And you belong to him and have already overcome them the agents of the Antichrist.
Because he who is in you is greater than he, Satan, who is in the world.
Of sinful mankind. As believers, we have overcome the enemy because of Jesus Christ.
Jesus is the light that drives out the darkness.
At the name of Jesus, Satan has to flee demons have to tremble, and nature has to bow down.
Christ alone has ultimate authority overall. And he has promised to be with us in every struggle.
So although we live in sinful world, In Jesus, we have victory.
So now with all this in mind, Let’s go before the lord together in prayer.
Heavenly father, we ask that you open our eyes. Open our ears.
Lord, let us be a people who listen with discerning ears.
Let us be led by the spirit and not drawn to hear a gospel that tickles the years.
Lord, instead, we ask that you would give us hearts that yearn for the nourishing milk of your word.
So that it can feed our spirits.
Lord Jesus, it’s your word that calls us to forsake everything in this world.
To leave all worldly things behind, to leave the wealth and the riches of this world behind so that we can seek your kingdom first.
And that gives us obedient hearts.
Lord, let the affection of our hearts be to serve you.
God let our hearts desire be to follow you above our own will.
Lord led our hearts passion be to seek you and to come into the knowledge of the fullness of Christ.
We wanna know you, lord jeez, We wanna know you on a personal level.
So god, I ask that you would reveal yourself to us.
So that we cannot be deceived by any counterfeit gospel.
Your word in 2nd Corinthians 11, versus 3 enforces.
But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the Serpent’s cunning, Your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ.
For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit, From the spirit you received or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.
Now, father, we come saying that we only want to receive the true authentic gospel.
Of Jesus Christ. Lord, we wanna be taught the gospel that tells us about the birth, the death, the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
God, we wanna hear the gospel that calls us to repent.
God, we want the gospel that transforms our hearts. And cleanses our minds.
That’s the only gospel we wanna hear. Lord in today’s world.
There are so many false teachers who bring in destructive heresies.
But, father, I pray that the Holy Spirit would lead us into truth.
May we run away from any type of teaching that tickles our ears? God.
We want your word. The Bible in 2nd Timothy 3 verse 16 says.
All scripture is god breathed given by divine inspiration and is profitable for instruction.
For conviction of sin, for correction of error, and restoration to obedience.
For training in righteousness, learning to live in conformity to god’s will, both publicly and privately, behaving honorably with personal integrity and moral courage.
Lord, give us hearts. That cling to your word.
We open our hearts to be instructed by your word, lord.
May we be convicted of sin through your word?
May we be corrected, taught, and encouraged by your word master.
Lord, we thank you for your mercy.
We thank you because you are faithful, and you are true.
May you increase in her lives? As we decrease. More of you god.
Unless of me. Father be glorified now, and forevermore. It’s in Jesus’ name.
That we pray and give thanks. Amen.
The Bible says in matthew 7 verses 15 through 17.

Teachers who come to you dressed as sheep, appearing gentle and innocent, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
