Tribes Are Back!

Before we jump into today’s message, I also want to let you know that Tribes are back this week! If you’re wondering what a Tribe is, it’s our small group community—where real transformation happens. Healing, change, and growth take place in circles, not just in rows on Sundays.

If you’re ready to experience the power of community, you can join a Tribe today! Just text “TRIBES” to 82828, and you’ll find a group near you or even online. People from all over the world are connecting and growing together, and I promise—it will transform your life.

Today’s Message: Breaking Free from Distraction

Today’s message is going to challenge you, transform you, and bring you closer to your destiny. We’re talking about breaking free from denial and learning how to stop walking through the doors of distraction.

Now, let me do my assignment and point you to God—but today, I need to talk about you for a moment. Because sometimes, we are the ones standing in our own way.

Have you ever tripped over your own feet? Slammed your hand in a door? Spilled the food you worked so hard to prepare? And in that moment, your first reaction was to blame someone else, even though you knew it was your own fault?

That’s exactly how many of us live our lives—we blame others for our pain, setbacks, and missed opportunities. But in Week 2 of our series, “Death to Distraction,” I want to help you develop something crucial: the faith to focus.

Say it with me:
💬 I will have the faith to focus!

How many of you know that more focus would positively impact your life? How many of you already know what’s distracting you?

I love a self-aware church! But for those of you who didn’t raise your hands—you might not even realize how distraction is affecting your life. And that’s exactly why this message is so important!

🔹 Step One: Get Out of Your Own Way
Look at your neighbor and say: “Get out of your own way!”
Now turn to someone else and tell them the same thing—even if you didn’t want to pick them first!

The Solution to Distraction

Here’s the good news: there is a solution! Before we even address the problem, I want to take you straight to the answer.

This year, we are standing on Hebrews 12:1 as our foundational scripture. I’m committing to repeating this verse every Sunday until it’s so deep in your spirit that you’ll remember it—even when you don’t have cell service to look it up.

Let’s read it together and allow God’s Word to shape us!
