The Jordan Divides the East From the West
Tuesday, August 15, 2023 – Your Song
When Miriam (Mary) is given the great news about bearing the Son of God, she starts singing. She had a song. She knew the Word of God and His Spirit was upon her. If she had been wrapped up in the world, her problems, running around, never having enough time, she wouldn’t have had a song. Many of us live our lives wrapped up in the world, busy with our problems and too worried to have a song. But God’s people need to have a song. Moses, Anna, Isaiah, Mary and the saints of Revelation had a song. You need to have a song. Your heart has to be able to sing, and overflow. God didn’t call you to live a desperate life but to live abundantly, overflowing like someone who has a song. Don’t live your life always wanting, always desperate, always needing more. You need to have a flow and time to overflow with God. Sing to the Lord a new song, a praise from your heart. God has called you to glorify, praise, and worship Him with a song, your own song, the song of your life.
The waters of the Jordan, which way do they flow? They float down.
The word Jordan y’all comes from yorad, which means the descender.
It’s the river that descends more than any other river in the in the world.
Decends to the lowest place on the planet, the Dead Sea.
So it’s the merges that goes from north to south. So let me show you something.
The Jordan River runs runs that way. So it divides what? It divides the east and the west.
It divides the east from the west. What does the Bible say about that?
As far as the east is from the west, He has removed your sins from you.
So what you submerge in him, it’s all about Messiah.
That’s where he was baptized, is as removed from you as far as the east is from the west.
That’s why you gotta bring everything in. How far is the east from the west?
It’s the only two directions that are infinite. East goes on forever. West goes on forever.
They are north and south, are have miles But east and west know it, Bapto or baptism also means to be covered and hidden.
There is a power that only comes when you submerge yourself, you hide in him.
Like, I don’t need people to praise me. I’m a I want people to praise him.
That’s where you wanna be. You know, what your reputation, you care you care more about his reputation.
That’s you’re free when you do that. There’s a freedom when you do that. There’s a free freedom of burdens.
Hey, it’s not my burden is his, because I’m in him.
The Greek word baptism also is used in ancient times to speak of how they dyed fabrics.
They would put the fabric into the dye and they would baptize it.
They’d submerge it until it’s soaked up into every fiber.
Well, to be baptized in Messiah, It says to be in him so much that you’re soaking up his nature into you.
You mean, in you in fact, we need to be baptized into his presence.
Every day, we’re talking about being an instructor, but we need to be balanced.
We’re totally submerging ourselves in his presence.
In his presence, and to soak up the nature of Messiah into every part of our being. Hi.
