The Dayspring – Jonathan Cahn Sermon
The Dayspring – Jonathan Cahn Sermon
“The good must bring evil to an end, or else it would cease to be good. And yet His mercy is still greater than judgment. His heart always wills for redemption. And therein lies the hope.”

Now Zechariah remember didn’t believe this is the not the prophet Zechariah that the priest Zachariah, he doesn’t believe at the beginning.
So the angel says, okay, you’re not gonna speak until that happens. So he’s not, he’s mute for a time.
Then he’s gonna speak when John is born, he then speaks and in that he gives praise to God and the spirit comes on him.
Now listen to what he says and you child as he’s holding the child or speaking to the child, the baby, you will be called the prophet of the most high for you will go before the Lord to prepare his ways to give to his people.
The knowledge of salvation. John the Baptist by the forgiveness of their sins because of the tender mercy of our God, by which the sunrise from on high shall visit us to shine upon those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death and to guide our feet into the ways of Shalom peace because of the tender mercies of our God by which the sunrise shall visit us.
Wow, you ever think about that’s kind of a strange way of speaking, the sunrise shall visit us, do you know?
And it’s speaking about who speaking about Messiah. Messiah is called the sunrise.
But the word in Greek is Anatole, the translation of the branch.
So now the word branch stomach gets translated as the sunrise in Greek or the daybreak or the dawn or, or in Yeah, in King James day, spring, that word day, spring when you first read it, if you think about some of you might be reading this for years and you never thought what does day spring even mean without that word.
A lot of Christian businesses would go out of business without that day spring thing.
But day spring is a translation of the branch. So Mark, so, so how do we get that?
Well, how do we get branch to become sunrise?
And by the way, day, spring means or daybreak, it means that first light of dawn.
That’s the day spring, it’s the springing up of the day, the breaking of the day.
So how do we get that?
Well, the words amok means the springing forth like a branch of a tree, springing forth, shooting out, rising.
So Anatole means literally the rising and specifically the rising of the sun, the dawning light.
So Messiah is going to be called the springing forth, the dawning, the blossoming and you get sunrise in the New Testament.
Zechariah. The priest is quoting from the same section of Isaiah Emmanuel section where he says he will shine on those who dwell in darkness.
He’s, what’s that from? That’s from, that’s from Isaiah nine that says that the people who dwell in darkness will see a great light.
The light, the light of God Isaiah 60 says, what a rise and shine for your light has come. Who?
Messiahs the light? It’s like a sunrise. When he comes into your life, it’s like a sunrise.
So Jeremiah, he’s called the righteous and yet at the and yet at the same time at the end of the by at the end of the Hebrew scriptures, it says the sun in the sky, the S U N of righteousness will rise.
So my Messiah, some of the last words of the Old Testament.
