Good Morning America August 22, 2026!
A Morning Prayer Before You Start Your Day
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for bringing me safely into this new morning.
Thank You for the gift of another day, another opportunity to grow, and another chance to experience Your goodness in my life.
As I begin this morning, I am grateful for Your mercy, Your patience, and Your unfailing love. Even when I fall short, You continue to meet me with grace.
Father, before I begin everything that awaits me today, I place my life into Your hands.
Take control of my plans and lead me toward what is good, wise, and pleasing to You.
Give me wisdom when I need to make important decisions.
Give me clarity when I feel uncertain.
And give me discernment when I need to know which direction to take.
Lord, help me trust Your leading even when I cannot see where the road ahead will take me.
Sometimes I want to know every answer before I take the next step. But today, teach me to trust You one step at a time.
Your Word says in Psalm 46:10:
“Be still, and know that I am God.”
Father, help me carry those words in my heart throughout this day.
When life becomes busy, remind me to slow down.
When my responsibilities feel overwhelming, help me pause and breathe.
When my thoughts become restless, remind me that You are still God and that You are still in control.
Teach me to trust Your power.
Help me rest in Your presence.
And give me a faith that is stronger than my fears.
Lord, I ask You to bring peace into every area of my life today.
Quiet the thoughts that create unnecessary worry.
Calm my heart when circumstances are uncertain.
Help me release the things I cannot control and place them completely into Your hands.
When I don’t understand what You are doing, help me trust that You are working.
When I cannot see the answer yet, help me believe that You are already making a way.
Father, don’t let uncertainty steal my peace.
Don’t let fear determine my decisions.
And don’t let temporary circumstances make me forget Your permanent faithfulness.
Today, I choose to believe that my hope is not based on what I can see.
My hope is based on You.
Lord Jesus, help me become a better reflection of Your love today.
Give me a heart that is willing to listen before speaking, forgive instead of holding onto resentment, encourage instead of criticize, and serve instead of always thinking about myself.
Help me treat every person I meet with kindness, patience, dignity, and respect.
Even if I am having a difficult day, help me remember that other people may be carrying struggles I cannot see.
Guard my words.
Guard my attitude.
Guard my reactions.
Keep anger, pride, frustration, and impatience from controlling the way I treat others.
Let Your character be seen through the way I speak, the way I act, and the way I respond when things don’t go according to plan.
Father, I also ask for Your protection over me today.
Watch over me wherever I go.
Keep me safe from harm, danger, and situations that could lead me away from Your purpose.
Give me wisdom and awareness as I go about my responsibilities.
Help me make good decisions and recognize situations that require caution.
And Lord, please protect my family and friends as well.
Wherever they are today, watch over them.
Guide their steps.
Protect their health, their homes, their work, and their daily journeys.
Give them wisdom when they face difficult choices and strength when life becomes challenging.
Surround them with Your presence and remind them that they are never walking alone.
Father, thank You for hearing this prayer.
Thank You for being with me at the very beginning of this day.
I surrender my plans to You.
I surrender my concerns to You.
I surrender my expectations to You.
I don’t know everything that today will bring, but I know that I don’t have to face it without You.
Lead me with wisdom.
Strengthen me with grace.
Fill me with peace.
Protect me with Your loving hand.
And help me live this day in a way that brings honor and glory to Your name.
When something goes wrong, help me remain calm.
When something doesn’t happen according to my plans, help me trust Your greater plan.
When I feel weak, remind me that Your strength is enough.
And when fear tries to steal my hope, remind me that You are still beside me.
Today, I choose faith over fear.
I choose peace over worry.
I choose gratitude over complaining.
And I choose hope over discouragement.
My circumstances may change, but You remain faithful.
My plans may change, but Your purpose remains sure.
And even when I cannot see what tomorrow holds, I can trust the One who holds tomorrow.
So I step into this new day with confidence—not because I know what will happen, but because I know You will be with me through it all.
Thank You for this new morning.
Thank You for Your mercy.
Thank You for Your protection.
Thank You for Your unfailing love.
And thank You for giving me a hope that cannot be shaken by the circumstances around me.
I place this day completely in Your hands.
To You, Heavenly Father, I give all the praise, honor, and glory.
In the precious name of Jesus, I pray.
Amen.

A Prayer of Light, Mercy, and Eternal Hope
Heavenly Father,
Source of all that lives,
Author of the heavens and the earth,
and Keeper of every soul that has ever drawn breath,
I come before You in humility and wonder.
Before the first star burned,
before time measured its first moment,
You were there.
Before I knew Your name,
You knew mine.
You have carried me through valleys I could not cross alone,
through nights when the darkness seemed without end,
and through moments when I could see no road ahead.
Yet somehow, Your hand was always beneath me.
Lord, place Your peace within me—not the fragile peace that depends upon circumstances, but the deep and unshakable peace that comes from knowing that I belong to You.
Where there is fear, plant faith.
Where there is sorrow, plant hope.
Where there is weakness, plant strength.
Where there is confusion, kindle understanding.
Where there is bitterness, grow forgiveness.
And where my heart has become weary, breathe into it again the quiet certainty that Your purposes have not failed.
Watch over those whom I love.
Surround them with Your mercy.
Guard them when I cannot guard them.
Comfort them when my words are insufficient.
Give healing where healing is possible, strength where endurance is required, and courage where tomorrow appears uncertain.
Let Your presence enter the rooms where suffering has lived.
Let Your light reach the places where human eyes cannot see.
Let no person who calls upon You believe themselves forgotten.
And Father, when my own understanding reaches its boundary, teach me to trust beyond understanding.
For I do not worship You merely because I understand Your ways.
I worship You because You are God.
You are the beginning behind every beginning,
the intelligence within creation,
the light behind every light,
and the eternal reality toward which every created thing ultimately points.
And at the centre of Your revelation stands Jesus Christ—
not merely as a teacher of righteousness,
but as the living expression of Your love,
the Saviour who entered our darkness,
bore our sin,
conquered death,
and opened before humanity the door to eternal life.
Lord Jesus,
when I am weak, be my strength.
When I am lost, be my way.
When I am troubled, be my peace.
When I doubt, be the truth that steadies me.
And when my earthly journey finally reaches its appointed end,
let me not be afraid.
Take my hand.
Lead me beyond the boundaries of this temporary existence,
beyond pain and fear,
beyond the limitations of flesh and time,
into the presence of the living God.
May my life, however imperfect, leave behind more light than darkness,
more love than hatred,
more truth than confusion,
and more hope than despair.
And if there is anything good within me,
let it never become a reason for pride,
but a reflection of Your grace.
For everything I have received is ultimately a gift.
Everything I understand is only a glimpse.
Everything I love is a reminder of the greater Love from which all love comes.
And when I finally stand before You,
may I hear not the voice of condemnation,
but the voice of the Shepherd who has known me all along.
Until that day, Father,
keep my eyes upon the eternal horizon.
Let me walk by faith when sight is insufficient,
stand when circumstances tell me to fall,
forgive when wounded,
love when it is difficult,
and continue believing when the world gives me reasons to despair.
For the darkness is not eternal.
The grave is not the end.
Death does not have the final word.
Jesus Christ has conquered death, and in Him there is eternal life.
Therefore I place my life, my loved ones, my future, my fears, my hopes, and my eternity into Your hands.
Let Your will be accomplished.
Let Your Kingdom come.
Let Your light shine.
Let Your mercy endure.
And let my heart remain forever turned toward You.
In the Divine Holy Name of Jesus Christ the Lord. Amen.
