Prayer for the day

By Your love I experience the delight of a quiet heart. Deep down is the joy that cannot be taken away. Lord, may I always keep my eyes on You, my source of joy.

Dear God,

On this Good Friday, we come before you with heavy hearts, remembering the sacrifice of your son, Jesus Christ, on the cross. We are grateful for the love and mercy that he showed to us, even as he suffered and died for our sins.

We ask that you bless us and guide us as we reflect on the significance of this day. Help us to fully understand the depth of your love for us and the great cost that was paid for our redemption.

May we be reminded that through Christ’s death and resurrection, we are forgiven, and we have eternal life. May we also be inspired to follow his example of selflessness, humility, and love for others.

As we go through this day, we ask for your strength and grace to carry us through any challenges or difficulties that we may face. May we be filled with hope and peace, knowing that you are always with us.

Thank you for your unending love and mercy, and for the gift of salvation through your son, Jesus Christ.
