Every Wilderness Has a Promised Land
Wednesday, October 25, 2023 – The Lords Fund
We put our money in banks or investments and they gain interest, but all the money and interest is going to be nothing in the end. There’s another way of investing which gives returns that don’t pass away. The Lord has a fund. It pays great dividends, a hundred fold or more. It never fails and always pays you back on your investment. It’s eternal riches. Proverbs 19:17 says, “He who gives to the poor lends to the Lord.” When you give to people who can’t pay you back; the poor, the needy, the hungry, the lost, or when you give to the Lord’s work; the great commission, to spread the gospel, you give to His glory. You’re not just giving to a person; you’re lending to the Lord. Giving with no thought of getting back anything on earth is an investment in the Lord’s heavenly fund. You’ll receive back eternal treasures. In this life, give abundantly and generously with joy. Because it’s not only the best thing to do; it’s the wisest investment, and it will be given back to you, pressed down, shaken together and overflowing.
Now here’s the thing. As we the wilderness was attached to something.
The wilderness was attached to the promised land. It bordered the promise. You got the wilderness?
You got the promised land. So in god, listen, every wilderness has a promised land.
Every to every wilderness you go through There is a promised land at the end.
There’s a promise at the end. The wilderness is never just a wilderness.
It’s the way to the promised land It’s the way to the promises. It’s the way to the blessings.
And though it looks unlikely, because see it’s barren, the problem.
It’s filled with the purposes of god and the promises of god.
And when you go through it, you gotta hold on to that. With every I’m in a wilderness right now.
I’m in a hard time. There is a promise at the end of this. There’s a promised lamb.
There is blessing at the end who stand in that, walk in that, fight in that hole to that, overcoming that in everything you go through.
And everything you deal with The wilderness is gonna lead to a promised land if you keep going.
So this is the road. I don’t like it.
Uh, it’s not pleasant, but it’s the road that’s gonna take me to the purpose of god in my life.
And it wasn’t just that the wilderness led there geographically, The wilderness led there led them to the promised land spiritually.
See, on Passover, god got the Hebrews out of Egypt.
But he used the wilderness to get the Egypt out of the Hebrews.
To prepare them so they can inherit the promised land because they were in no condition to do that.
That 1st generation was not. They could receive the blessings. Think about it. Again, they were in the wilderness.
How long 40 years But how long were they in the promised line? Look at all the blessings it brought.
1000 years. 40 years.
For 100 and 1000 years of blessing, that’s a great return on the investment of the wilderness.
See, the wilderness produces great returns. And, yeah, think about that with your life.
It wasn’t just Israel. It was Moses himself.
He was before he could lead them for 40 years, he himself was in the wilderness for 40 years, and then he fulfilled his calling.
David was in the wilderness, and then he fulfilled his calling. The promise on his life, the prophecy.
Messiah was in the wilderness. How long? 40 40 days. Then he fulfilled his calling. Got saying something?
Paul was in the wilderness of Arabia, then he fulfilled his calling.
And god, every wilderness in your life is meant to bring you to something greater. Hi.
