Dr. Bill Winston Daily Devotional – October 25, 2026: Advancing by Faith

If your heart feels pulled between what you see and what you’re believing God for, you’re not alone today. Many believers across America are standing in that same place—jobs shifting, prices rising, families under pressure, and news headlines that try to drain hope. Yet in the middle of it all, the Spirit of God is quietly reminding you: “You are not stuck. You are being led.” Today’s devotional, inspired by the faith-filled teaching of Dr. Bill Winston, is a loving invitation from God to step out of fear, lean into His promises, and advance by faith, not by sight.

Faith That Sees Beyond What You See

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:7, NKJV) This short verse carries a powerful shift in perspective. Walking by sight means we let circumstances define our expectations. Walking by faith means we let God’s Word define our reality, even when our eyes don’t agree yet. When your bank account is low, faith says, “My God shall supply all my need.” When your body hurts, faith says, “By His stripes I am healed.” When your future seems uncertain, faith remembers, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord.” Walking by faith is not pretending that problems don’t exist; it is choosing to believe that God’s promise is greater than any problem.

Living Boldly in a Fearful World

Faith is not just for Sunday services; it’s for Mondays in rush-hour traffic, Tuesdays at medical appointments, and Wednesdays in board meetings. Every ordinary moment becomes holy ground when you decide, “I will trust God right here.” One practical step today is to pause before reacting—before you respond to that email, that argument, or that bad report—take a breath and whisper, “Lord, I trust You. Show me what to do.” As you consistently turn to Him, you will sense His peace rise above anxiety. Faith grows as you hear and speak God’s Word. So fill your home, car, and heart with Scripture. Replace negative self-talk with God-talk: “God is with me. God is for me. God is working in this situation.”

Lord, Increase My Faith

Father, in Jesus’ name, I ask You to strengthen my faith today. Help me move from worry to worship, from panic to praise. Teach me to believe Your Word more than I believe my feelings or the opinions around me. Holy Spirit, reveal any areas where doubt, fear, or discouragement have taken root, and uproot them by Your truth. I surrender my plans, my timelines, and my need to control every outcome. I choose to trust that You are good, that You love me, and that You are leading me into victory. Grow my spiritual hunger. Give me a deeper desire to pray, to read Your Word, and to listen for Your voice. May my faith not be shaken by delay or disappointment, but become stronger through every test, so that my life reflects Your glory.

Grace for My Home and Family

Lord, I bring my family and loved ones before You. Cover our homes with Your peace and Your presence. Heal any divisions, misunderstandings, or coldness of heart. Where there has been harshness, release tenderness; where there has been distance, restore connection. Protect marriages, strengthen parents, and guide children. Give us the courage to forgive quickly and to speak life instead of criticism. Let our homes be places where Your Word is honored, where prayer is normal, and where Your love is felt. Surround our loved ones who are far from You with people and moments that draw them back to Your heart. Make our households beacons of hope in our neighborhoods.

Healing for Body, Mind, and Soul

Jesus, You are my healer. I bring my body, my mind, and my emotions to You. Where there is pain, bring relief. Where there is disease, release Your healing power. Where there is anxiety, depression, or emotional exhaustion, pour in Your comfort and Your joy. Remind me that my body is a temple of the Holy Spirit and help me to care for it with wisdom—through rest, good choices, and healthy boundaries. Restore sleep to the weary, strength to the weak, and clarity to the confused. I believe that nothing is too hard for You. Let Your resurrection power touch every cell, every system, every thought pattern, and make me whole.
