Abraham’s Blessing & Your Life | Jonathan Cahn Sermon
Discover Your Identity in Christ: Chosen, Called, and Victorious
To walk in God’s purpose, you must first declare who you are in Him:
- I am a child of God
- I am holy through Him
- I am more than a conqueror in Christ
- I am an overcomer
- I am destined for victory
God always leads His people into triumph. If you are not experiencing that victory, it may be because you are not fully embracing His promises. Hold firmly to what God says about you.
Chosen by God: Your True Identity
Abraham was chosen by God, and through faith, you become a child of Abraham. Even if you have felt rejected, overlooked, or unwanted in life, God’s truth remains unchanged:
You are chosen.
The world may not choose you—but God has already chosen you.
The Bible reveals a powerful truth: before the foundation of the world, God chose you. This means your value and identity are not determined by others. You are already accepted and deeply loved by God.
Living as Someone Chosen by God
How should you live knowing you are chosen?
Live with purpose, confidence, and faith—just like the prophets. Imagine receiving a divine calling that transforms your life. The reality is, you already have one.
You are just as chosen as those in Scripture. Whether or not you see it clearly, your calling is real and significant.
Called by God: A Life with Direction
Abraham was not only chosen—he was called. God gave him direction, leading him into the unknown.
In the same way:
- You are called by God
- Your life has divine direction
- Your journey is guided by His purpose
Even before you knew God, there was a calling on your life. But once you said “yes” to Him, that calling began to unfold.
God continues to call you daily—leading you upward into growth, purpose, and spiritual maturity. You may not always understand where He is leading, but His plan is always good.
Separation and Purpose: Set Apart for God
Abraham was called out—set apart from his surroundings. This separation was not about superiority but about purpose.
God set apart Israel to bless the nations, and He continues to work through His people today. In the same way, believers are called to live differently:
- Set apart in faith
- Guided by God’s truth
- Living with a higher purpose
Even when the world rejects or misunderstands you, remember: being set apart is part of God’s plan.
Your Spiritual Identity: A Child of Abraham
According to Scripture, your identity is not defined by outward labels or background. If you are born again:
- You are a child of Abraham
- You belong to God’s family
- Your identity is spiritual, not just physical
The Apostle Paul emphasizes that what matters most is not the flesh, but your identity in Christ.
Conclusion: Embrace Your Calling and Walk in Victory
God has chosen you, called you, and set you apart for a purpose. Your life is not random—it is part of His divine plan.
To live in that purpose:
- Believe what God says about you
- Walk confidently in your calling
- Follow His direction daily
- Embrace your identity in Christ
When you do, you will begin to experience the victory and transformation God has already prepared for you.
