Priscilla Shirer Daily Devotional – October 25, 2026

Some mornings you wake up with a quiet ache in your soul, not quite able to name it. Maybe you’re carrying a hidden worry about your family, a financial weight you can’t shake, or a private battle that no one sees but God. As you read these words today, know this: the Lord has not lost track of you. He knows your name, your address, your story, and your future. He has already stepped into this October 25 with you, and He is inviting you to lean in close, listen for His voice, and walk in His peace. Today’s devotional, inspired by the teaching ministry of Priscilla Shirer, is a reminder that your ordinary Monday can become holy ground when you choose to trust Him in the middle of it.

Anchored in a Unshakable Promise

“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” (Isaiah 26:3, NIV) This verse isn’t wishful thinking; it’s a promise. God promises perfect peace—not the fragile, shifting calm that depends on good circumstances, but a deep inner steadiness—for those whose minds are set on Him. To be steadfast means you keep turning your thoughts back to God, again and again, when fear tries to take over. It’s not about pretending your problems don’t exist; it’s about choosing to remember that your problems don’t rule your life—God does. The more you fix your mind on His character, His Word, and His faithfulness, the more your heart begins to breathe easier, even in the storm.

When Faith Meets Real Life

Faith is not just what you believe sitting in a church pew; it’s what you cling to when the text message comes, the bill arrives, or the doctor calls. Today, decide that your first instinct will be to go to God instead of spiraling into worst-case scenarios. When anxiety starts to rise, whisper, “Lord, my mind is Yours,” and then speak a verse you know. When you’re tempted to complain, choose gratitude for one specific way God has cared for you this week. If you are discouraged at work, ask the Holy Spirit to help you see your desk, your classroom, your toolbox, or your kitchen as your current assignment from heaven. Little, intentional choices turn faith into a daily lifestyle instead of an occasional emergency plan.

Drawing Near in Faith and Surrender

Father, today we come to You as we are—tired, hopeful, confused, grateful, all at once. Grow our faith beyond convenience and comfort. Teach us to trust You when we don’t see the full picture. We surrender our timelines, our expectations, and our need to control how everything turns out. Help us tune out the noise of fear and tune in to the whisper of Your Spirit. Deepen our roots in Your Word so that when the wind blows, we stand firm. Let our hearts be soft toward Your correction and quick to obey Your direction. May this day become a classroom where we learn to walk by faith and not by sight, confident that You are working in every detail for our good and Your glory.

Covering Our Homes in God’s Peace

Lord, we lift our families and our closest relationships to You. Step into every room of our homes with Your peace. Where there has been tension, bring understanding. Where there has been silence, open gentle conversation. Heal broken trust and soften hard hearts. Surround our spouses, children, parents, and friends with Your love. Protect them from the enemy’s lies and from discouragement. Give us patience in parenting, kindness in marriage, and humility in conflict. Let our homes be places where Your presence is felt, where forgiveness is normal, and where You are honored in the way we speak, serve, and listen to each other.

Health, Healing, and Inner Strength

God, You see every ache, diagnosis, and silent struggle. We ask for Your healing touch—over bodies battling sickness, minds wrestling with anxiety or depression, and hearts weighed down by grief. Strengthen immune systems, calm racing thoughts, regulate blood pressure, and rejuvenate weary bones. For those waiting on test results, trade panic for peace. For those in long-term battles, pour out fresh endurance. Remind us that our bodies are temples of Your Spirit; help us steward them with rest, wise choices, and self-control. Where there is emotional exhaustion, breathe new life. Let Your joy be our strength and Your presence our comfort in every moment of weakness
