Dr. Bill Winston: Sunday Morning 9AM Worship Service (November 9, 2025)
A Morning of Worship and Renewal: Encountering the Goodness of Jesus
As the morning sun rose over Living Word Christian Center, hearts gathered both in person and online to celebrate the goodness of God. The sanctuary was filled with the joyful sound of worship—hands clapping, voices lifted high, and spirits rejoicing in the truth that Jesus is so good.
“Are you excited to be in the house of the Lord today?” the worship leader called out. The crowd responded with praise, their voices echoing gratitude. Together, they sang, “Jesus, You are so good. There’s nothing to fear, for I’m here in Your presence.” It wasn’t just a song—it was a declaration of trust and thankfulness from hearts that had tasted His mercy and love.
As the music swelled, the congregation witnessed a sacred moment—several souls being baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. With every person immersed in the water, the church erupted in applause, celebrating new life and the promise of the Holy Spirit. Mothers, sons, cousins—entire families—stepped into the water, symbolizing a beautiful chain of faith being passed down from generation to generation.
When the worship team returned, the song shifted to one of strength and surrender:
“My life is in You, Lord. My strength is in You, Lord. My hope is in You, Lord.”
The lyrics became a reminder that no matter the storm, our foundation remains unshaken because Jesus is our Rock—our salvation and our song.
The atmosphere deepened as the Holy Spirit was invited to move freely. With hands lifted and tears flowing, the congregation sang, “Holy Spirit, rain down.” It was a moment of surrender—a cry for renewal and power. The presence of God filled the room, reminding everyone that He still heals, restores, and speaks today.
As the melody softened, another song arose: “There is none like You.” The words seemed to still time itself. Hearts were moved by the truth that no one else can touch our hearts like Jesus does. The sanctuary overflowed with awe, gratitude, and love.
Pastor then led the congregation in prayer, thanking God for the precious gift of the Holy Spirit—our Comforter, Helper, and Guide. He reminded everyone that the Spirit is not just to be invited into the room, but to take full residence in our lives. “We don’t just want You in our service,” he prayed, “we give You the room to have Your way.”
As the church said Amen, joy filled the room once again. Smiles spread as people turned to one another and said, “Jesus loves you—and so do I.”
The morning continued with joyful announcements—calls to prayer gatherings, ministry opportunities, choir auditions, and Thanksgiving blessings for families in need. Each message reflected the heart of a community alive with purpose, generosity, and faith in motion.
From worship to baptism, from song to service, this Sunday morning was more than a gathering—it was a reminder that when we come together in the name of Jesus, heaven touches earth. Lives are changed. Hope is renewed. And the Spirit of God moves once again among His people.
