Tara-Leigh Cobble: THIS Is Something I NEVER NOTICED Before In Scripture | Kirk Cameron on TBN

How Can We Pray For You? Have you signed up yet?

Christmas is a season of joy and reflection, a time to celebrate the greatest gift of all—the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. He came to Earth to bridge the gap between a holy God and a fallen humanity, offering us salvation and eternal hope. As we embrace this season, let us remember that Jesus is the only bridge to God. Merry Christmas to all!

Today, we are honored to welcome Terrell LeCell, widely known for her “Chronological One-Year Bible Reading Plan” and the accompanying daily podcast, The Bible Recap. Terrell, thank you for joining us to explore the Christmas story through the Gospel of Luke.

A Transformative Perspective on Christmas
Christmas took on a profoundly different meaning for me when I came to faith at 17. As a former atheist, I didn’t understand the true significance of the nativity scene, the three wise men, or the Star of Bethlehem. It all seemed like a distant religious tale. Growing up, Christmas was more about trees, apple pie, cheerful songs, and the joy of receiving gifts. But when I began to see Christmas through the lens of faith, it became a celebration of the Savior’s birth and a time to reflect on the transformative power of Jesus’ love.

The Beauty of Christmas Traditions
Traditions often deepen our connection to the season. In my family, we gather every year to read the Christmas story—a practice that began with my grandfather and continues with my father today. These moments, filled with warmth and togetherness, are some of my most cherished memories.

Terrell shared a similar experience from her childhood in Tennessee, where snowy Christmases and large family gatherings made the holiday extra special. Reading the Christmas story as a family, a tradition passed down through generations, highlighted the true meaning of the season for her.

In our home, we’ve added our own twist by pairing the nativity story with a reading of ’Twas the Night Before Christmas. Even as my children have grown, these moments of storytelling, surrounded by the glow of the fireplace, remain a cherished family tradition.

The Bigger Picture: Jesus in Scripture
Understanding the Bible as a cohesive narrative, from Genesis to Revelation, profoundly enhances the meaning of Christmas. Terrell expressed how studying the full story of Jesus—His prophecy, birth, and ministry—has deepened her love and gratitude for the Savior. The more we know Him, the more we appreciate His birth and its significance.

Christmas becomes even more meaningful when we see ourselves as part of God’s unfolding story. We are recipients of His mercy, forgiveness, and grace, woven into the greatest story ever told. Celebrating the birth of Christ isn’t just a remembrance—it’s an invitation to live in gratitude for the gift of salvation and share that joy with others.

This Christmas, may we all take time to reflect on the life of Jesus, immerse ourselves in the richness of His story, and embrace the true reason for the season. Merry Christmas!
