they want to take control of the children they want to they they feel that the children belong to the state there are official rules in several school systems that parents are not even be told about this they’re essentially experimenting and turning the children’s Hearts against their parents the parent today has to be vigilant but they also have to know what God is calling them to do it seems to be the increasing theme that the government wants to step between parents and their kids and we heard some politicians say things like
you know it really takes a village and that gets uh you know they double down and then say well you know we’ve got to get past this this private idea thing that children belong to their parents and recognize that children belong to all of us in the community uh we even had the president beginning to talk about this and this is a a very ominous sounding rhetoric this is nothing new this is what the Communists did uh in Russia and Eastern Europe uh so the Communists trained the children took the children you have parents who are being
sidelined by public school systems and by uh therapeutic Professionals in which you have say a child who is claiming some kind of non-binary uh Identity or transgender identity and there are official rules in several school systems that parents are not even be told about this and so you know the most basic relationship for a child is the relationship of parents parental Authority is is what every civilization has had to recognize because what civilizations are absolutely incompetent at doing is successfully raising children it’s the
idea on the part of the secular Elites that parents are the problem that you got to find a way to get around the parents to the kids and the success of politicians and others in doing that should be a five alarm emergency for all of us how did the schools ever get this idea that they had such authority to marginalize parents yeah I think gets back to what I talk about in the thread is just this idea of needing to sever that bond between parents and children because they believe that the parents at home are an obstacle to what they’re
trying to teach at school and so if they can get these kids to step into a new identity and then we hide that from the parents like I I saw one uh one school or I think it’s a trend in in multiple schools are establishing uh transition closets so that you can leave home as a little boy show up at school change clothes into a little girl’s clothes and so while you’re at school you’re a girl and then before you go home they change you back so that your parents never know the identity that you have at
school to protect you mhm and your true I identity what this does to kids is it teaches them to keep secrets from your your parents it teaches them to that the trusted adults in your life are at school and that at home they are trying to oppress you they’re they’re not loving they’re not you know they don’t accept you as you are like we do here at school and so what this does is it really kind of creates a a rift between the parents and the children that takes those kids and and you know kind of
brings them over to the side of the social justice activist which is what the end goal is there are very few safe places where your children uh will not be bombarded with messages that are not conducive with them being the best person they can be or achieving their full potential I think parents need to know that with the other narratives that their children are experiencing and ideally if they can have a relationship uh where the child would just talk honestly about what they feeling what they’re thinking what they’re hearing
from their friends uh unless you can have that kind of conversation and I don’t think it would be easy for a parent to caner those messages at least 30 hours of the week our children are being instructed by someone else we need to assert our rights to know who that is what that is and to be able to effectively counter it and have real educational Choice many of us are just horrified as we look to what’s going on inside of our public schools and public libraries and the materials that are being pushed on our children and then
when parents who are aware try to push back they’re being uh labeled as being intrusive they’re being uh they’re inter interfering with the experts and what they need uh to be doing is just staying at home and and and leaving the educating up to others is there such a thing as parental rights in the United States of America what does the Constitution have to say about who to whom our do our children belong the Constitution has a lot to say about it as does federal law and state statute so just to remember we have the con
Constitution which is the highest law of the land at the federal level and then we have also Federal statutes federal laws that congress has passed that are also designed to protect student rights and parents rights and then in the states we have additional covering and protection we have a state constitution that protects these types of Rights and we also have state statutes that protect those rights and then even under that we have Schoolboard policies that can be enforced so for policies being violated by the government um we have the right
to seek enforcement of that awareness is like the beginning uh you know parents can exercise their voice they can move their children and if the resources are there I think it’s important for for parents who can afford to do so to choose um the homeschooling option and I think the best thing a parent can do is to have a conversation with their children about uh what they are hearing here’s the way we change this Kirk it’s who you vote for and I think we just have to recognize our votes are important churches need to
have Christian men and women running for school boards and we need the majority of the school boards to be Christians and uh so that when an atheist or communist is on the school board they want to have a pornographic book or if they want to have a uh promote sex change for young people uh to have the school board say no we’re not going to we’re not going to go along with that and uh we’re not going to support that and uh so let’s have a vote well there’s more of us now than there’s of you so
the Christians win many countries and all Western democracies around the world protect the rights of free speech and religious freedom those protections are on paper but they’re not worth the paper they’re written on if the average citizen doesn’t stand up and insist on truth and insist on enforcing those rights Christian on a practical level what can parents ask the teachers and those who are leading their kids school or church or whatever it is where they’re seeing these problems well first
of all I would recommend that parents go to our website at ADF legal.org there’s a parental rights page and on that page you can have access to a parental rights toolkit and I didn’t write it so I can’t take credit for it but I think it is the best resource that we have ever produced U particularly on parental rights it goes through where the where our rights are where they’re found in the law it also gives practical ideas on questions to ask so first of all one of the suggestions is ask your kids we don’t
often start with the most easy resource that we have and encourage your kids to tell you if there are discussions going on in the classrooms that would contravene their values that might bring up sexual orientation or gender identity that would disparage their faith ask your kids about those conversations they’re also um public records requests that can be made and again one of the things I love about this toolkit is that it identifies the tricks of the trade so to speak we know that school officials in some instances actively deceive
parents and so it tells parents here’s what to ask for and how to ask for it you should be reviewing their curriculum you should see what is in their classrooms and then lastly it also identifies Federal statutes that allow you to get additional access and and helps you to understand that you should be supporting laws and policies that protect the right to accountability which is transparency in the classroom that ensures Choice educational choice so you don’t have to send your children to schools that violate your values
policies that allow for opt in curriculums or opt out of curriculums as well as um transparency in terms of things that are going on in the classroom that relate to your child you should know about those things and you have a right to know about them so it walks you through how to do that I absolutely love that highly recommend we do exactly what you’re saying go to ADF and um get a hold of this parental rights toolkit and getting into these types of things is not really just us wandering into the legal weeds here I
mean this is the heart of the garden this is the future of our children it’s their hearts and their minds and just as the scriptures say that we have pastors to train the Believers for the work of the ministry the pastor is not supposed to do all the ministry he’s training the Believers for the work of the ministry we have ADF and Christen wager and others like her who are teaching us as Citizens how to do the work of the ministry of holding on to our rights our constitutional rights our god-given rights they can’t do all the work
they’re teaching us how to do it with toolkits like this
