We are his masterpiece. We are his poem. We are that.
When you live your life like that, when you live your life this way, it actually flows like a poem.
And the word tov and do good also means beautiful.
You’re called to do beautiful things to have a beautiful life.
What works do you want to produce?
Do you need to produce? What your, your, your calling, what do you need to do?
What is that that you need to produce? You need to be more loving.
Well we naturally think okay, if I, if I think I’ve got to be more loving what do I think?
I think okay, let me try to be more loving. That’s how I think. But then I’m trying.
It’s not that it’s wrong to want that. And, well, I want to do whatever you have to do.
It’s not wrong. But if I’m trying to produce love where’s that love coming from? Not coming from God.
I mean it’s, it’s good that you want to try.
The, the, the motive for wanting to do that may come from God.
But, but now, now, now tape, apply this to that. Apply what this key is secret.
It’s, it’s On one hand it’s simple. On the other hand it’s, it’s revolutionary.
That is instead of I have to, I need to be more loving so instead of thinking about how I can be more loving, which is not a bad thing.
It’s a good motive but that’s not going to do it.
I have to focus on the other end of the branch. I have to focus on receiving.
How do I if I if I focus instead on receiving more love, receiving the love of God, then I’m gonna naturally start loving more.
And it’s gonna be from God. It’s gonna be God.
So that, whatever you think, I have to be more pure. Well then how can I be more pure?
Well that’s all, all has a place but that’s not the power.
The powers, if I have to be more pure, if I have to produce purity the only way, I have to receive that purity from my God.
I have to receive that flow. I have to be more holy. Okay. So what do I do?
I don’t go there. I don’t watch this. I don’t do that. I don’t do that.
Well, it’s not that there are don’ts. In God there are things not to do. Absolutely.
But that’s not the power of it. The power of it.
If I need to be more holy, I need to produce more The power is I need to be in the presence of the holy.
And I need to receive more the holy. And the more I receive the holy the more I’ll be holy.
You shall be holy. Why? Because your Father in heaven is holy. Be perfect as your Father in heaven.
I can’t be perfect. I can’t be perfect.
You can’t be So how did You want to try to be perfect? You’re gonna mess up very fast.
But if I say I Instead I go with a branch, I can receive what is perfect.
I can receive the perfection. And that’ll change me. See most believers never get to that point.
They try you try to do all those things like Martha running around. Martha I’m serving God. I’m serving God.
That’s all good. I’m serving God and she’s a godly woman.
But she’s trying to produce the fruit and Mary is the branch that’s connected in.
Now Mary, if she’s following that, is gonna end up producing more fruit than Martha. Unless Martha changed.
Because if Martha’s trying to do all that stuff and she’s not producing the fruit because she’s getting the food ready but she is, she is ready to kill her sister.
So that’s not fruit. You want to do the good things in a good way.
You don’t want to I want to do it in the worst way. Don’t do it in the worst way.
Do it in God. You want to be humble. You know, try to be humble. Try, try to be humble.
There’s a if you try to be humble by yourself, what’s gonna happen?
As soon as you start being humble, say, hey I’m pretty proud of that. I’m doing good.
Because you’re looking at yourself. It’s all from yourself. How, where’s the key of real humbleness? Forget about yourself.
Get into God so much so you’re gonna be looking up at God your whole life.
You’re gonna be looking, you’re gonna be a humble person because you’re gonna be worshiping. You’re gonna be That’s how.
The more you focus on trust in the Lord and do Last thing. What do you do?
Don’t just do. Do good. You got batach. Try it. Let’s put the Hebrew together. Batach.
You got asah. Trust and do. Tov. Tov. You should know that.
Yeah I mean it’s a good word to know. In Hebrew tov means good. Boker tov. Good morning. Erev tov.
Good evening. Tov. Tov. If you get this right, if you get the batach to the asah, you get the flow, it’s gonna end up producing tov.
Good. If you don’t do it this way it won’t produce good.
It’s like when people, you know, people say in the Lord sometimes, you know people want to do good but it’s not Without this it doesn’t end up.
That’s like when people say you, I’m saying this in love.
I love you but This doesn’t kind of add up.
Or I love when people say, I love you in the Lord. What does that mean?
I love you in the Lord.
It means you better thank God we’re both in the Lord because if we weren’t I’d take you outside.
Outside the Lord I’m gonna take you out. But I love you in the Lord.
Outside of the Lord all bets are off. It’s not enough to do the acts of God.
You need the heart of God.
You need to get to the heart of God in which you can only do in that time being plugged in.
The heart of God, heart to heart you get the heart.
And when you get the heart you get everything else.
And it’s not just about doctrines coming to your mind. It’s about letting his heart touch your heart.
Letting those things actually change you. Because then you get change you.
Because then you get changed when you let it come in.
Then you do If you change yourself, if your self, if your heart is changed, your self is changed, then your works are gonna be changed.
That’s the only way. The word asah tov, asah tov, do good.
It also means, asah means to bear forth. It means to exercise good. It means to practice.
It means to be occupied with or preoccupied with. It means to be, to maintain and keep.
So it means So batach here means, one one is bring forth good works.
Bring forth It’s all being It’s not just doing it. You’re bringing it forth. It’s coming from God.
It also means, it said exercise. So it means exercise. We talked, I talked to this a few weeks ago.
Exercise good. God wants you. You want it’s hardest Well how do you, how do you grow stronger with exercise?
By going against resistance. So when it’s hardest to do good and you do good anyway, you’re getting muscles.
When it’s harder to love and you love anyway, muscles.
When it’s harder to hope and rejoice when you rejoice anyway your joy got muscles. You understand?
It’s So look for times you can exercise the good coming through you.
It says, it also means practice, practice.
What also means the things you do every day, make them regular practice in the, in the presence of God.
Make them regular things and that’s what’s really going to change your life more than the, more than the, the, the, the highs.
It’s going to change your life by every day what you do with God. It means be occupied with.
So what do you mean preoccupied with? Doing good. That’s my occupation.
It’s not with your occupation being a businessman or being a secretary. It’s no, it’s doing good. It’s glorifying God.
Asartov also me can mean, asar can mean to, asar can mean to, to become.
So actually it can mean become good.
And see the ultimate thing here is the ultimate goal is not just to produce good works.
You know we think okay, I’m gonna do these works.
The ultimate goal is not necessarily doing the works or focusing on that.
The ultimate goal is that you actually become the work of God. That’s it. That’s it.
Because think about, think about how that life is. Think about the 2. I’m gonna, I’m gonna do good work.
Okay good. I’m gonna do works. That’s good good good but. Or I’m gonna become the work of God.
That’s totally different. To become the work of God, that’s the flow. Become the work I’m gonna become the work.
It’s gonna be God doing me. I actually become a work.
So well let, let, that’s right in the Bible. It says but we are his workmanship.
And the word in, in, in, in Greek is poiema, from which we get poem.
We are his masterpiece. We are his poem. We are that.
When you live your life like that, when you live your life this way it actually flows like a bone.
And the word tov and do good also means beautiful.
You’re called to do beautiful things, to have a beautiful life and become beautiful, which you can only do this way.
And tov also means joyful. So God wants you to do what’s good but do it joyfully.
If you’re doing it and you’re, you’re complaining about it God’s not thrilled. Do what’s right but get joyful.
Serve the Lord with gladness. And you will, and your life will be joyful.
This is the it’s the key to fruitfulness, joyfulness.
The key today was very simple, very profound though and very powerful.
This dynamic combination, batach asah, believing, doing, receiving and flowing out.
That is the secret of all fruitfulness. And it’s the secret of all the great people of God.
Look at Paul. Man of great faith but great action. Great times in God’s presence but great doing in God.
Deep but going forward. Moses, same thing. Receiving in God’s presence but doing. Letting it flow. David, same thing.
Psalms. But he was a doer too. He’s received. He’s flowing. People of God’s presence.
People of great action from that presence. This year become that branch. Become a, the powerful, fruitful branch.
Attempt great things for God. Expect great things from God. Trust with greater faith. Do with great doing.
Get into the Holy of Holies. Then go out into the world from the Holy of Holies.
Get great at receiving his love and His joy and His presence and all that He has for you.
And then, and then in that go out and do and flow and love and bless and and live and overcome and have breakthrough.
This year be the branch. Flow in the Lord’s goodness. Let your life become the very work of God.
But trust and do.
