The more experience you have with God.
Little by little, the more you begin to trust and pretty soon, it just becomes natural.
I’m Joyce Meyer, and I believe that God can heal you everywhere you hurt.
Tests are good because they prove us.
They show us what’s needed in our life. Test bring out the weak areas in our life.
James 1, 2, 3, 4, counted all joy. My brother I don’t know.
Don’t you do you like that scripture? That is one annoying scripture.
Count it all joy. My brothers, when you meet various trials.
Well, it doesn’t say feel joyful. It says count it joy.
So and I and I say this sometimes. This is so good for me.
Oh, god. I hate this, but it is so good for me.
It is so good for me to deal with this obnoxious clerk and stay nice.
You think I’m kidding? I’m not kidding. This is the way I live.
Oh god. It’s good for me to wait in this line. It’s good.
It’s good for me, god, when I don’t get my way. Thank you.
For you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness or patience.
So let steadfastness or patience have its full effect that you may be perfect and entire lacking in nothing.
Lord help us.
David, Prave for tests.
I’m not on that level yet. Psalm 26 too.
Prove me, oh, lord, and try me.
Test my heart and my mind and see if there is any wicked way in me.
I’ve not done that maybe next year. I don’t know.
I have asked god to show me stuff that I’m not seeing.
But you know what? How many of you love?
How many of you’ve got a good testimony in your life? I do too.
So I think I’ve got a great testimony.
But, you know, you don’t have a testimony without a test.
And you’ve probably heard me say this before, but it’s funny.
Anyway, most people after the test, all they have is the monies. They never get around to the testimony.
It’s kind of like god’s pattern of how he deals with people.
In deuteronomy 8, he said this to the Israelites when he brought them out of Egypt.
And you shall remember the whole way that the lord your god has led you these 40 years in the wilderness that he might humble you, testing you to know what was in your heart whether you would keep his commandments or not.
How good is that?
It’s not hard to do what You’re supposed to do when everything feels good, and it’s going just right, and everything is coming up rosy.
But how about continuing to do what’s right when nothing right seems to be happening to you.
How about treating somebody right that still hasn’t started treating you right?
This is a painful message even for me.
And, you know, the Bible says that he could have led them a shorter way, a faster and a shorter way, but he led them the long way on purpose because they were not yet ready for war.
So they thought going and possessed a promised land, but they didn’t realize that the word possess means to 1st dispossess the current occupants.
Once they crossed over that jordan, they had war after war after battle after battle because all the land that god wanted them to take, somebody was living on it, and they had to first deal with them.
So god kept them out in the wilderness, testing them because he was building them up.
He was strengthening them. He was getting them to the point where they they trusted him and him alone before they could he could let them go in because they would have just gotten annihilated.
And see, sometimes we’re praying for god to use us, but we’re not usable yet.
And god wants to use us and the raw material is there.
But we have to go to the school of the Holy Ghost first. Amen?
You know, when god spoke to me 42 years ago when I was making my bed and said, you’re gonna go all over the world and teach my gospel.
Oh, I thought, surely, next day. Y’all okay out there?
You’re not ready for promotion until you can pass the test.
First Peter 1, 6, and 7. You have been grieved by trials.
So that the tested genuineness of your faith, which is more precious than gold that perish as though it is tested by fire, may be found a result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
You know, when Jesus comes back, he wants to find a mature church, a church that’s not all selfish and self centered, and only concerned about themselves.
He wants to come back to find a church that’s walking in faith and walking in love.
And he said, why are you going through these things? Your faith is being tested.
And you know what happens? Every time you pass a test, your faith gets a little bit stronger.
I was thinking, and I’m glad God reminded me of this.
When do you come to fully trust God?
Well, I don’t know if any of us ever 100% completely trust with never having any doubt, but When when do you come to a place where your usual response to a problem is to to trust god, to not worry about it, to not get upset about it, to not get anxious about it, just pray about it, and trust god.
I’ll tell you what I think it takes.
You won’t go home and trust god just because you heard a sermon tonight about trusting god.
What has to happen is we have to have experience with god.
And what I mean by that is these issues and things come up in your life and you find yourself shut in behind and before.
And you finally figure out, well, I guess I’ll just pray. There’s nothing else to do.
That is the most ridiculous statement.
Because prayers should always be the very first thing that we do. Never a last ditch effort.
I tell you just in this last 6 or 7 months, I have become more aware than ever of how powerful just a simple prayer can be.
It’s not an obligation It’s a privilege to be able to take our message to god and say, would you get involved in this and help me with it?
Don’t ever have a problem and not pray about it.
Don’t try to do every well, god. I’ve done everything I can do. I guess I’ll just pray.
You pray first because when you pray, it opens a door for god to go to work in your life.
And I mean, pray about everything. Everything.
We had tickets to go see, uh, an Elvis impersonator.
We were able to get the two tickets we needed, but they were the theater was just basically almost full.
So several weeks later, my daughter decided she wanted to go to. I said, let’s just pray about this, sir.
Lauren, I pray that you’d open up seats next to Dave and I next to Sandy so we can all sit together.
Now if she would have sat with us, we would have only needed one seat.
But if we would have sat with her, we would have needed our two seats and one other person that was with us.
The show started, and next to Sandy was 4 empty seats.
We waited you know, to make sure somebody wasn’t just late.
And it became obvious that nobody was coming, and so We moved back there and all got to sit together.
And that wasn’t a coincidence. That wasn’t luck. God heard my prayer that was not all that spiritual.
Come on. I’m telling you, pray about everything.
Life can get so exciting if we let god into stuff.
And if we quit just falling apart and throw in a fit, every time things don’t go our way.
But the more experience that you have with god, little things like that, big things that he does for you, the more experience you have with god, little by little, the more you begin to trust him.
And pretty soon, it just becomes natural.
It’s like you don’t worry and have to have reasons for everything and know the answer to everything.
You just god is faithful. Does anybody understand what I’m saying?
And I’m telling you what, when you first come into a walk with the lord, and you’re here and trust god, it’s not an easy thing.
Because we have not been brought up to trust anything, except ourselves.
And so god has to first show us how feeble we are.
And that we can’t do anything without him. How many of you tend to worry?
That’s right.
Put him up nice and high none of this stuff.
Well, how many things have you worried about in your life that god took care of and you wouldn’t have had to worry at all?
You’ve heard me say this, but worry is like sitting in a rocking chair and rocking.
You keeps you busy, but it gets you nowhere. Worries another thing like trust.
How can you get people not to worry?
I I think we will worry until we finally come to the point where we realize that it just does no good.
It just absolutely does no good.
There’s it it it has so many terrible side effects can give you headaches and backaches and stomach problems and make you grouchy and hard to get along with.
And can even depro I mean, wild.
Why not just give it to god and go ahead and enjoy your life while god works on your problems?
And that sound good? Okay.
You ready for a good one? 2nd Corinthians 189.
For we do not want you to be unaware brothers of the affliction we experienced in Asia.
This is Paul talking. For we were so utterly burdened beyond our strength that we despaired of life itself Indeed, we felt that we had received the sentence of death, but that was to make us rely, not on ourselves, but on god who raises the dead.
He said, we went through all this.
And out of it, god taught us that we could not rely on ourselves.
See, sometimes you gotta have a really big problem.
That you know you can’t solve before you’ll ever even begin to go to god and try to let him work on those situations.
Trust is so beautiful when you learn how to do it.
And god really is so faithful.
And I don’t know why sometimes he takes so long to do things that he could do so fast if he just would.
You know what I mean, right?
I mean, if you could do it in a year, why didn’t you do it in a day?
If you could do it in a you know, I don’t know.
And then all of a sudden, you get a breakthrough. And you don’t even know why now.
You know, why not yesterday or who knows? I don’t know.
We’re not we’re not we don’t get the answers to those questions.
If we didn’t have unanswered questions, we would never need to trust god. You understand that?
You gotta get comfortable not knowing. Just be happy knowing the one who does know.
I don’t know, but I know somebody who did.
You know, we all have a tendency to trust in ourselves until we learn that the flesh is pretty flimsy.
So you’re gonna disappoint yourself if you put your trust in yourself.
Trust in god when heaven is silent.
How do you like that when you feel like god overslept?
When that happens, don’t panic. This is only a test.
If god hasn’t said anything to you in a long time, just keep doing what he told you to the last time.
One thing I can tell you for sure, I know that I know that I know this.
If god wants to say something to you, he has many ways of making himself heard.
Amen? Oh, how about the waiting test?
Does anybody like that waiting test? Waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting.
Waiting on god, waiting on god.
You know, everything in the earth that’s alive, waits on god.
The trees wait on god for the rain.
Flowers wait on god for the sunshine and the rain.
All those little birds flying around.
They have to wait on god for the little worms or whatever it is they eat or some human to come and throw breadcrumbs off their porch.
Think about it. Everything in the earth that’s alive. Weights on god, everything.
So why shouldn’t we?
We wait on god, and we trust him for every little thing that we need.
The eyes of all look to you and you give them their food in due season.
You know what? I just have to be honest with you and tell you that I really don’t like that due season thing.
I’ll tell you why.
I mean, when I was waiting on god all those years to do something, in my ministry that I thought I was gonna have someday.
I think Everybody that came at the church of the guest prophesied to me.
They’d call me out of the crowd and prop. Hey.
The large says unto you, be not weary and well doing for in due season, you shall reap if you faint not.
Well, the first few times I got excited. And then it started making me mad.
It’s like, don’t tell me. To not get weary, I am already weary.
It’s too late. And what is due season anyway?
Even when somebody tells you that, you still don’t know a thing.
Because you know what it is, it’s when god is good and ready.
And you know when he’s ready, when he knows you’re ready.
And we’re usually not ready as early as we think we are. Amen.
Waiting on god doesn’t mean and this is exciting when you get it.
It doesn’t mean just like If you study the word hope, or the word wait, it means to wait expectantly.
In other words, like, if I told you, hey, when the conference is over tomorrow, I’ll come by and have a cup of coffee with you.
I should be there around, oh, 4. Well, you know what? You’d make that coffee.
You’d clean everything up the best you could, and you’d be looking out that window.
Looking out that window, looking out that window.
And you’d be expecting me because you feel that I’m a person of my word.
Well, that’s what we need the way we need to be with god.
We need to be excited every day expecting god to show up and do something amazing in our lives.
Hey, Mayor?
And for a couple of years, I’ve been trying to get everybody saying when you get up every day, say something good is gonna happen to me today.
Something good is going to happen through me today.
I’m gonna be blessed and I’m gonna be a blessing everywhere that I go.
Don’t just wait on God with a bad attitude.
Get a good attitude and wait expectantly believing that something amazing is gonna happen to you.
Life can be so good when we decide to put our trust in god.
You see, god is faithful. And even if things don’t work out the way we think they should, god can work everything together for our good Building Trust is so important with any relationship.

Trust in God in the hard times is one of the most difficult tests that we will ever face in life.
But it’s these experiences where we trust in and rely on him for help that deepens our relationship with god.
Last year or a tornado devastated the town of Rolling Fork, Mississippi.
Hand of hope the mission’s arm of Joyce Meyer Ministries reached out to the hurting people with the love of Christ, helping meet those overwhelming needs for food, water, and cleanup.
Then later, we returned with god’s pit crew to rebuild the home of a young couple who lost everything except their faith and trust in God.
Watch this beautiful story, and I’ll be back in a few minutes.
Don’t ready to see your new house for the first time. Alright. Turn around.
Everything went black.
And at that moment we sat down, it sounding like missiles were being propelled at the house.
All you had was boom boom boom boom
boom boom. Friday night, March 24 2023.
A category for tornado tears through the small town of Rolling Fork, Mississippi.
And surrounding communities, killing 17 people, and destroying more than 60% of the homes and businesses.
What started out as a beautiful day and just ended up your chair.
Every 2 by 4 in our house that was holding our roof together broke in half, That’s what we were hearing.
So it was just fear.
Nathan and Kristen Nichols were in their home when the tornado struck. 3 minutes later, their house was destroyed.
They lost everything.
We went to our safe spot. A tree fell through that room. We ran back into the living room.
She dove beside the ottoman, and I kinda dove on top of her.
I felt things flying into my face and hitting me in my eyes, and that’s your first way of knowing why everything is really gone because insulation is hitting me.
When it was all said and done, lightning flashed.
And I could see where I was at and I could see through our house into the open.
This was Nathan’s childhood home, and they had spent 2 years remodeling it into their dream home.
They had just finished and moved back in. And within a few months, the tornado hit.
We were at the point where there was no path forward for us enrolling for it.
Nathan and Kristen’s heartbreaking situation cried out for help.
And Joyce Meyer Ministries was honored to work alongside god’s pit crew to help the couple rebuild.
You just knew instantly that there were people who who would help other who would be out here doing exactly what we’re doing given the opportunity to.
In fact, I heard that they were New Orleans, uh, feeding homeless people just weeks before they ended up homeless themselves.
Joyce Meyer Ministry fully funded the rebuilding and furnishing of Nathan and Kristen’s home with more than 120 god’s pit crew volunteers working tirelessly for 2 weeks to finish the house.
I just can’t say thank you enough to the people who give their time and talents and treasures to ministries like this that take care of people like us.
We’re gonna be able to dream again, and we’re gonna be able to envision our family and our future kids running around in this house, and that’s gonna be really, really special.
Words don’t do it justice on how thankful and appreciative we are.
Of hand of hope and everything they did enrolling for, not just not just what they’re doing for us, what they did enrolling for.
They are truly be in the hands and feet of god.
I think what I’m looking forward to most is just having a home, having a place to come back to something that we can call our own.
I just wanna be home.
Alrighty. See your new house for the first time? Alright.
Nathan and Kristen, I think that, uh, god used Joyce Myers and god’s pit crew as a vessel.
To prove to you to show y’all the greatest is faithfulness.
Oh my gosh. Oh.
Nathan and Chris dinner such a sweet couple, and it’s wonderful that we have the privilege of being part of their restoration story.
And none of this would have been possible without you.
One of the most powerful ways to share Christ with people is to walk beside them during the darkest hours, bringing the hope and the love of Jesus into their time of greatest need.
Within 48 hours of the tornado, We were on the ground alongside other agencies that we work with.
Mercy Chefs, as they surge more than 26,000 hot meals to residents and first responders enrolling fork and the surrounding communities, working together with 8 days of hope nearly 200 homeowners had their properties cleared of debris in armory in Mississippi, and another town hit by the tornado.
And we partnered with god’s pit crew who gave out more than 1100 blessing buckets filled with emergency supplies to residents there.
You know, all of this can only happen in one way.
It means a lot of people working together sharing what we can do to make bigger things happen.
That’s what partnership is really all about.
The people on the ground doing their part people who can cook doing their part.
And all of us who can give and support and pray, we do our part as well.
If you would like to be a partner with us, that means you’ll be a part of what you just heard about when there’s a natural disaster.
You’ll be a part of our other hand of hope outreaches around the world, and you’ll be a part of sharing Christ every single day.
Whether it’s through Joyce’s teaching that you just watched on television, something online, or the magazine that you read.
Partnership just means that you will make a commitment to give an ongoing gift, a monthly gift to help with this ministry, whatever amount god lays on your heart.
So join us today, and let’s help more and more people every single time there is a need.
All you need to do is go to our web site joycemeyer.org, and you can sign up for partnership there right now or find out more.
We are so grateful for you. We love you, and we’ll see you next time.
