Um, when bye.
So the, oh, yeah, you smile.
Well, when I was 18, I had finished high school and I was going to college and I thought my grandfather had only seen him twice before.
He’d been a Pentecostal preacher for many, many years. And he was in his seventies at this time.
And so I thought, well, I need to go talk to my granddad for some reason.
So I went down and I spent a week with him and I told him, I said, I just wanna listen to you.
You’ve been the pastor all these years.
So we would sit on his screen and back porch and sit in North Carolina.
And, uh, I would just ask him questions.
I mean, just all kind of questions and he would sit there and talk and we’d go eat lunch and I come back and sit down.
And so in the process of all the things he said to me, he said this, he says, uh, when you’re going through a hard time, he said, put it this way, if you, if God tells you to head to a brick wall and you head for the wall and when you get there, God will make a hole for it.
So I chuck it like that and then think anything about it.
But on my way home thinking about that, I can hardly tell you.
It’s like God said to me, here’s what he said.
Obey God and leave all the consequences to him. And I want you to remember that.
Yes, Lord, I will smile.
