Friday, September 15, 2023 – To Lead a Horse

It’s said, “You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink.” Have you ever tried to lead a horse anywhere? Pushing doesn’t work. But you can guide this gigantic animal almost anywhere with its head and neck. It works for horses and also for people. Do you want to avoid temptation? Think of the horse. Use your head and neck. When you’re being tempted, use your neck to turn your head away. Righteousness involves looking away. When you’re at the beach, when you’re driving past that thing, when something comes in the mail, when you’re on the internet, if it’s something that’s not good, turn away. Whatever it is, turn away from it and turn to where you want to go, just like a horse. Turn to the Word of God. Turn your head to prayer. Turn your eyes to the things of God. If you can move a horse, which is a lot heavier than you, just by turning its neck; how much more can you lead your life to God? Next time you’re in that situation, don’t forget you have a neck. Use it.

So with they persecute you, it’s gonna be a manifestation of that you are called by god.
You are called by god. Embrace it.
If I look back at my life, I can see things that were separating me for god long before I knew god and included things I didn’t like as well, but god used it all.
There was
a higher purpose I had no idea of
I wasn’t trying to serve god. I was trying not to serve god.
When I heard about god, when I knew I had to give my life, I said, no.
I don’t wanna give I don’t wanna give up my rock band.
I don’t wanna give up this or this or this. So, lord, I will make a deal with you.
I will accept you when I’m on my deathbed.
And I’m not going through
the whole story, but that’s when I almost got killed. And the 2 twice.
2nd time, strike 2, I was hit by a locomotive train.
That was the culmination of everything god was using.
That train was the culmination of god separating me, trying to.
So I knew after that I had to come to the lord. That was strike too.
Not because I was holy, not because I had any idea of what the calling meant.
Not because of that, but because I didn’t wanna go to hell.
So after the train almost killed me, I made a new deal with god.
I said, can we renegotiate I said, okay.
Now, lord, I’m not gonna do that if, you know, accept you on the death, but I understand that was wrong.
That was wrong. I New deal, I’ll accept you when I’m twenty.
Just don’t kill me until then.
Now I picked 20 because it was a round number.
And it gave me about 7 months to go. 7 months to do whatever I wanted.
On the night of my 20th birthday,
I didn’t know how to
do it. I went up on a mountain because I remember from he school on mountains, you know, god met them.
So I found a mountain, went up to the mountain, kneel down on a rock, and prayed to receive the lord, and dedicate my life to god.
And that’s when it all hit.
That’s when the that’s the purpose has started going for that which what I was born for. You were born.
And and there was something I never realized until years later that from the time the temple was built, the levites and priests who were called the minister there was a set time for the priest, the sons of Aaron, to begin their purposes of god, to come to god and to minister.
When was it? It was when they turned twenty years old on their 20th birthday.
I had no idea. I came up with 20 because they bought me time.
It was part of my negotiation tactic.
And it was a round number.
I had no idea the very year and the very day
was the day that the sons of Aaron had to come to the lord and start serving him.
I had no idea.
And the thing is why I share this is for your
encouragement. You came to the lord
You know, you all came in different ways, different places. How god knows it.
You all came in different ways, but when you came to the lord, it was no less holy than the priesthood coming to the temple or the high priest coming into the holy of Holidays.
It was the calling of the priest. It was that.
Your coming to the lord is as sacred as just as real, just as as the priest coming called by god by Moses and Aaron, you are at just as holy you’re calling.
Just as real, and your separation has to be just as real.
For the high and holy purposes of god.
See see, you can’t be any good to the world if you’re just like the world.
The only way you can make a difference in the world
is to be different from the world.
The only way you can make a difference in your situation is to be different from your situation.
Take that as from the lord. That wasn’t in the notes, but I just felt that there.
It it is written that on the day that the that the sons of our and the children Priese came to their calling.
They had a first bee washed with water, cleansed. Then once they were cleansed, They
were arrayed. They received the sacred garments, and they were given the anointing of god.
You see the greater the separation, the greater the calling, the greater the ministry, the greater the anointing.
See,
they back then,
you didn’t have a choice to be
a priest or not.
You know, you didn’t have a choice about the calling, but you now have the choice the more you station, the greater will be the anointing of god.
The more you separate yourself from everything that’s dark and set yourself apart to god all the more the more the anointing, the greater the power of the anointing will be on your life.
The more your life that you live will be an anointed life and the mantle will be upon you.
Embrace your high calling priests of god.
The fact that you can’t do as other people do, take it as a blessing.
It’s because, you know, you know, if someone doesn’t have parents, they can do whatever they want.
But you but you you have you have this great call. That’s why embrace it. Okay.
So I won’t do this. I’ll give up I can give that up, but something so much greater than that means nothing.
Embrace the sacrifice. The sacrifices made the priests.
And you, we live in days of increasing darkness when all this is all the more critical now.
Separation is all the more critical. Because, you know, back then, we’re growing up.
It was a quote, quote, Christian culture, and you could be you still you had to be separate, but you could, you know, it could blend in in some ways, but you can’t anymore if this culture is becoming toxic to the faith.
Don’t fit you must separate.
Now I don’t mean separate and separate and then be a light to that generation. Engage it.
But first, you gotta keep yourself wholly. Yeah. Don’t fear the rejection of that. Don’t fear persecution.
Persecution, what did you say when people persecute you, rejoice, and that word is separation?
So with they persecute you, It’s gonna be a manifestation of that you are called by god.
You are called by god. Embrace it. Embrace it.
In this day, you have to be all the more separate from the dark so you can stand all the more as a light unto it.
Your calling is too great and too important to mess it up to hinder it.
Be this this week, beginning this day, Do what you have
to do. Separate from what you have to separate from whatever that is.
Take a step before you go to bed.
That’s when it’s gonna count.
Put it away, cast it off, cut it off,
and then begin rising. Cause when you do that, that’s what’s gonna happen. The mantle will come more
and more, you’re gonna see the mantle of your calling manifest on your life.
And the anointing is gonna fall upon you greater. And everything you do.
And the door doors will open that never opens.
And the presence, you’ll know, the presence of god greater walk, as Paul said, in a manner, worthy of the high calling that god has given you.
For it is this, for this, for this you were called, for this you were chosen, for this you were appointed, and for this you were separated.
And set apart from your mother’s womb for such a time as this, amen.
Let’s pray right now.
Father, we praise you and bless you right now.
Lord, I ask the calling that is with each one right now.
You have a calling on each one of your children. You have a calling, lord.
You have called each of us from our mother’s womb.
And, lord, we ask that nothing stopped this calling.
Lord, we wanna fulfill it And, lord, lead us to whatever we need to do.
Whatever lord, you already know, lord, I believe you already put on our hearts.
What we have to separate from, what we have to cleanse ourselves from, what we have to break from, what we have to turn away from so we can turn to you, lord, We will take that step.
Put on our heart right now, the steps we need to take.
Even today, even starting with one step in all this week, What we can do to separate from that and and come into your presence.
Lord, and come into the calling. Father help us. As we come before you.
Lord, we wanna be everything we were called to be.
We wanna be that that that child of god, that minister, that that priest of god, we wanna be that.
Oh, lord. And lord, we we commit to you.
We will take a step today toward this, the 1st step of this this new thing.
Lord, we praise you and bless you and thank you. Seal Lord put on our hearts. Lead us now.
Lead us in the in today and this day, this week, father.
