Thankful Monday Blessings
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of this new morning.
Thank You for the breath in my lungs, for the strength in my body, and for allowing me to wake up to another day surrounded by Your mercy and unfailing love. Before I begin anything today, I choose to pause and acknowledge that every good thing comes from You.
Father, thank You for the opportunity to begin again.
As I step into this day, I ask for Your wisdom to guide me, Your light to lead me, and Your Holy Spirit to strengthen me in every moment ahead.
Teach me to walk with patience when circumstances test me and with kindness in every interaction I have. Help my words reflect grace, my attitude reflect peace, and my actions reflect the character of Christ.
When challenges appear and obstacles seem greater than my strength, remind me that with You, nothing is impossible.
Help me fix my thoughts on what is true, honorable, pure, lovely, and worthy of praise. Let my mind remain anchored in faith and my heart remain steady in Your presence.
Your Word says in Psalm 118:24:
“This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”
Father, today I choose joy.
Not because everything around me is perfect, but because I know You are with me. Your presence is enough. Your faithfulness is enough. Your grace is enough.
No matter what this day brings, I choose to believe that You are already walking ahead of me and preparing the way.
Lord, I ask that Your peace guard my heart and mind.
Remove every fear, every anxious thought, every burden, and every heaviness that tries to steal my joy.
Your Word reminds me in Philippians 4:7:
“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Let that peace fill me now.
Fill my thoughts with calm.
Fill my heart with confidence.
Fill my spirit with rest.
Help me carry Your peace into every conversation, every responsibility, and every moment of this day.
Father, I also lift up my family and friends to You.
Place Your hand of protection over each one of them. Keep them safe in their coming and going. Surround our homes with love, understanding, unity, and grace.
Strengthen those who feel weary.
Encourage those who feel discouraged.
Comfort those who are hurting.
Provide for those who are waiting on You.
May our hearts continue growing together in faith and trust.
Thank You, Father, for carrying my burdens and becoming my strength when I feel weak.
Thank You for this new day filled with opportunities to grow, serve, love, and walk closely with You.
Today, I place my plans, my worries, my dreams, and my future into Your hands.
Lead me where You want me to go.
Open doors that align with Your will.
Close doors that are not meant for me.
And let everything I do bring glory to Your holy name.
To You alone belong all praise, honor, and worship.
In Jesus’ name I pray,
Amen.

Please pray for me and my family. Tomorrow, June 2nd, we have a final hearing for me to take permanent custody of my youngest grandchild, and I already have had to adopt my oldest. Their mother was tangled up with substance misuse and domestic violence. I\'m praying she sees the light and receives Jesus as her Lord and Savior. There has been a lot of tumult leading to this and we are praying for peace. Children are getting ready to start new therapies to help them process through everything. I\'m praying that these therapists understand my belief system and the Lord expedites their healing. I also recently found out that my complex is up for sale, and the landlord notified me they are not having me resign a 1-year lease. I have started the process of a mortgage application and I\'m praying the Lord expedites the perfect home for me and the children. I do know that Jehovah-Jireh is my provider. I\'m also seeking guidance on the situation with my husband. My husband left in 2021 after he was asked to get help for alcoholism and mental health issues. I have not divorced him because the Lord hates divorce. Do I seek closure with divorce or continue praying for a prodigal?
