Sarah Jakes Roberts Daily Devotional – October 10, 2026
If this season has felt heavy, confusing, or just plain exhausting, you are not alone. God sees every silent tear, every hidden question, and every battle you don’t have words for. On this October 10, 2026, pause and let your soul breathe. The same God who carried you through what you thought would break you is still writing your story. Today, allow the Holy Spirit to whisper to your heart: “You are not stuck. You are being shaped.” As you lean in, let this devotional and these prayers draw you closer to the God who specializes in turning ashes into beauty and broken pieces into powerful testimony.
When God Meets You in the Middle
“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 1:6 (NIV)
Paul wrote these words from a place that didn’t look like victory, yet he spoke with confidence about God’s faithfulness. This verse reminds you that God never walks away from what He starts. You may feel unfinished, inconsistent, or behind schedule, but heaven is not nervous about your process. God is not reconsidering His plans for you because of your past, your weaknesses, or today’s struggles. He is actively at work in your heart, your habits, and your healing. Even when you can’t see progress, God is carrying the good work forward—quietly, steadily, intentionally.
Grace for the Process You’re In
Sometimes we want a quick miracle, but God invites us into a journey. Growth can feel messy: one day you’re full of faith, the next you’re questioning everything. Yet spiritual maturity isn’t about never struggling; it’s about learning to bring every struggle to Jesus. Today, give yourself permission to be in process. Ask God to help you see your life through His eyes—where nothing is wasted and every step has purpose. Choose one area where you’ve been hard on yourself—your parenting, your attitude, your finances, your prayer life—and intentionally speak grace over it. Instead of saying, “I’ll never get this right,” declare, “God is still working, and I’m still growing.”
Praying for Unshakable Faith
Father, in the name of Jesus, I bring my faith journey before You. Some days I feel strong and courageous, and other days I feel fragile and uncertain. Meet me in both places. Strengthen my spirit where doubt has tried to plant roots. Remind me that my faith does not have to be perfect for You to move; it just has to be placed in You. Grow my hunger for Your Word. Help me to trust Your timing, even when answers seem delayed. Break every lie that says I am disqualified or too broken to be used. Teach me to hear Your voice in the noise of life, to lean not on my own understanding, and to rest in the truth that You are still working in me and through me. Amen.
Covering Our Homes in Peace
Lord, I lift my family and loved ones to You. You know every tension, every unspoken hurt, and every need we don’t even know how to express. Step into our homes with Your peace. Heal broken communication between spouses, parents, and children. Protect our children—biological, step, adopted, spiritual—from confusion, danger, and negative influences. Restore what conflict, stress, and disappointment have tried to steal. Let our homes be safe places where Your presence is felt, where forgiveness is practiced, and where love covers every flaw. Surround our loved ones today, whether they are near or far, and draw each of them closer to Your heart. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Health, Healing, and Inner Strength
God, I bring my body, mind, and emotions before You. Where there is pain, send healing. Where there is fatigue, breathe fresh strength. Touch every system of my body—from the top of my head to the soles of my feet—and bring it into divine alignment with Your purpose. Calm my anxious thoughts. Heal wounds from past trauma. Replace fear with Your perfect love. For anyone battling sickness, chronic illness, or quiet mental struggles, I ask for mercy and miracles. Give wisdom to doctors, clarity to caregivers, and resilience to those who are tired of fighting. Let Your joy be our strength today, and remind us that our bodies are temples where Your Spirit chooses to dwell.
