Paul Washer Daily Devotional – October 15, 2026

As a new day begins, your heart may feel pulled in a dozen directions—family concerns, work pressures, health questions, and quiet fears you rarely voice. Yet in the middle of all this, the Lord is inviting you to something deeper than mere survival. He is calling you to know Him, trust Him, and walk with Him in real, living faith. Today, let this simple time of Scripture, reflection, and prayer steady your soul and remind you that the God who saved you by grace will also keep you, lead you, and finish what He began in you.

Anchored in the Gospel Today

“For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified.” (1 Corinthians 2:2, NASB)

Paul’s words cut through the noise of religious activity and self-effort. He had one central focus: Jesus Christ and His cross. In a culture that celebrates success, comfort, and self-confidence, this verse gently confronts us. Your hope today does not rest in how strong your faith feels, how perfectly you parent, or how successful you are at work. Your hope rests in what Christ has already accomplished on the cross. Because of Him, your sins are forgiven, your standing before God is secure, and your future is filled with hope. When condemnation whispers, look again to Christ crucified. When anxiety rises, remember the Savior who already bore your greatest burden. The cross is not just where you were saved; it is where you continue to live, breathe, and find courage every single day.

Walking Out a Christ-Centered Day

As Paul Washer often reminds believers, genuine faith is not a momentary decision but a lifelong direction. That direction is toward Christ—repenting of self-reliance and leaning more deeply on God. Practically, this means starting your morning by surrendering your will to Him, inviting His Word to shape your decisions, and asking the Holy Spirit to expose anything that doesn’t align with His truth. When you feel rushed, pause and whisper, “Lord, I want to honor You in this moment.” When tempted, ask, “Is this worthy of the One who died for me?” Let your calendar, your conversations, and even your private thoughts be drawn back to the cross. You are not trying to impress God; you are responding to a love that has already been fully proven in Christ.

Strengthening Faith and Deepening Trust

Father, in Jesus’ name, I bring my faith before You today. Where my heart is weak, strengthen me. Where doubt has crept in, expose it and replace it with Your truth. Teach me to trust Your character more than my feelings and Your promises more than my fears. Grow in me a reverent awe of Your holiness and a deep gratitude for the blood of Christ. Guard me from lukewarmness, spiritual laziness, and distraction. Fill me with a hunger for Your Word and a sensitivity to Your Spirit. Help me to cling to Christ in temptation, to run to Him in failure, and to praise Him in every victory. Let this day be marked by simple, real obedience that flows from love, not guilt. Root my identity in Jesus alone so that nothing in this world can shake the core of who I am in You.

Covering Your Home with God’s Peace

Lord, I lift my family and loved ones to You. Bring Your peace into every room of our home. Heal strained relationships, soften hardened hearts, and teach us to forgive as we have been forgiven. Restore communication where there has been silence or tension. Protect our children from deception and draw their hearts to Christ early and deeply. For spouses, unite them in prayer, purity, and mutual respect. For those who feel alone, surround them with a loving, Christ-centered community. Let our homes in this nation shine as small but bright testimonies that Jesus truly reigns in us.

Health, Healing, and Inner Renewal

Gracious God, You know every ache, diagnosis, and hidden pain. I ask for Your healing touch over my body and emotions. Strengthen my immune system, steady my nerves, and bring rest to my mind. Where doctors are needed, guide their hands and decisions. Calm my anxious thoughts, break patterns of fear and despair, and replace them with Your comfort. Help me steward my body with wisdom—through rest, nutrition, and balance—while trusting ultimately in You, not in my own efforts. Let the joy of the Lord be my strength today, regardless of how I feel
