Michael Todd Daily Devotional – October 08, 2026

If your heart feels a little tired today, you are not alone. Maybe you’re believing God for something that still hasn’t shown up, or you’re holding on to a promise that seems delayed. As you read this, pause for a moment and breathe in the truth that God sees you, He knows every detail of your situation, and He has not forgotten you. Today’s devotional is an invitation to lean into hope again, to trust that the God who started a good work in you has every intention of finishing it beautifully.

Anchored By A Living Hope

“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.” (Hebrews 10:23, NIV) This verse speaks straight to the tension we feel between what God has said and what we currently see. “Hold unswervingly” means don’t let your grip loosen, even when your feelings wobble and your circumstances scream the opposite. The power of this verse isn’t in your ability to hold on perfectly; it’s in the character of the One who made the promise. Our hope is not wishful thinking—it’s anchored in a faithful God who cannot lie, cannot fail, and will not walk away from you. When doubt starts to whisper, let this verse be the loud reminder that your hope is safe in His hands.

Walking Out Faith In The Middle

Most of our lives are lived in “the middle”—after God gives a promise but before it fully shows up. That middle place can feel messy, uncertain, and slow. Yet it’s in the middle that your faith is strengthened, your character is shaped, and your roots go deeper. Today, instead of asking, “God, when will this change?” try asking, “God, how are You growing me right here?” Choose small, intentional steps: speak God’s Word over your situation, worship when anxiety rises, and reach out to someone who needs encouragement. Faith doesn’t always feel dramatic; often it looks like doing the next right thing with a trusting heart, even when the outcome isn’t clear yet.

Growing Deeper In Faith And Trust

Father, in Jesus’ name, we bring our faith journey to You. Strengthen the places in us that feel weak and worn out. Teach us to trust You not only for miracles, but also in the quiet days when nothing seems to shift. Grow our spiritual muscles so that we don’t just talk about faith, we live it. Help us to choose Your Word over our worries, Your presence over our distractions, and Your promise over our fears. May our hearts be steady, our minds renewed, and our spirits filled with fresh courage as we walk with You today.

Covering Our Homes With Peace

Lord, we lift up our families, marriages, children, and every relationship connected to us. Let Your peace settle over our homes like a warm blanket. Heal old wounds, soften hard hearts, and restore broken communication. Give us grace to forgive quickly, listen carefully, and love sacrificially. Protect our children and loved ones from confusion, compromise, and harm. Let our homes in the United States be places where Your presence is welcome, where laughter returns, and where unity stands stronger than division. Make our families living testimonies of Your faithfulness.

Health, Healing, And Inner Strength

Jesus, You are our Healer. We place our physical health, mental health, and emotional well-being before You. Touch every sick body, calm every anxious mind, and mend every hurting heart. For those battling disease, chronic pain, or hidden struggles, release Your healing power. For those weighed down by depression, fear, or exhaustion, breathe new life, new joy, and new strength. Help us make wise choices with rest, food, movement, and boundaries. Remind us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, created with purpose and loved without condition.

Work, Finances, And Open Doors

Lord, we surrender our careers, businesses, schooling, and finances into Your capable hands. Where there is job stress, bring clarity. Where there is unemployment or underemployment, open doors that no one can shut. Provide ideas, creativity, and discipline to steward every opportunity well. Break the grip of fear and scarcity, and replace it with trust and contentment. Meet every financial need—bills, debts, tuition, groceries—and remind us that You are our Source, not a paycheck. Give us favor with employers, clients, coworkers, and colleagues, and
