Jentezen Franklin Daily Devotional – October 27, 2026
If your heart feels a little tired today, you are not alone. Many believers across our nation wake up with silent questions: “God, are You really working in this situation? Do You still have a plan for me? Will things ever change?” The Lord sees you right where you are—whether you are holding back tears at the kitchen sink, driving to work with a knot in your stomach, or lying awake in the middle of the night. Today’s devotional is a gentle reminder from God’s heart to yours: He has not forgotten you. He is for you. And He is faithfully writing a story of hope, even in the chapters that feel confusing. Let this time of prayer and reflection realign your heart with His promises and stir your faith to believe again.
Anchored by a Quiet Promise
“Be still, and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10, NKJV) This verse is more than a suggestion to relax—it is an invitation to shift the weight of your whole life onto the strong shoulders of your Heavenly Father. “Be still” does not mean do nothing; it means stop striving in your own strength and remember Who is in charge. When you pause long enough to acknowledge that God is God—and you are not—fear begins to lose its grip. Anxiety shrinks in the light of His authority. Today, let this verse settle your racing thoughts. God is not wringing His hands about your future. He is seated on the throne, utterly in control, passionately committed to your good.
Learning to Lean in the Middle of the Storm
Faith grows most in the places we do not understand. You may be walking through financial pressure, tension at home, health concerns, or an unknown next step. Those are the very places where God invites you to lean, not run. Talk to Him honestly: “Lord, I do not like this, I do not get this, but I choose to trust You in it.” Open your Bible even when you do not feel anything. Whisper the name of Jesus over your house, your job, your children. Choose to turn worship music on instead of replaying worst-case scenarios in your mind. These small, daily choices are how hope is rebuilt. Over time, you will look back and realize: the season that tried to break you actually became the ground where your roots went deeper in God.
Drawing Near in Faith and Surrender
Father, today I bring You my faith, as weak and wobbly as it sometimes feels. I surrender my urge to control every outcome and confess that I have tried to carry loads I was never meant to bear. Grow my trust in You. Teach me to listen for Your voice above the noise of fear and doubt. I pray for a fresh hunger for Your Word, a renewed desire to be in Your presence, and the courage to obey even when it stretches me. Strengthen my spirit so that I do not live by my emotions, but by Your eternal truth. Let my faith be more than words; let it shape my decisions, my responses, and the atmosphere of my home. Today, I lay down worry and pick up confidence in Your character.

Where there has been distance, restore closeness and compassion. Heal old wounds, unspoken offenses, and heavy disappointments. For every single person reading this, surround them with godly friendships and healthy relationships. Make our homes places of laughter, healing, and worship. May Your presence be felt in our conversations, our decisions, and even in the quiet moments when no one is watching.
