How To Grow Young Again | Jonathan Cahn Sermon

How Can We Pray For You? Have you signed up yet?

Every blessing you’ve received in life came because, in some way, you were open to it. Do you remember the times when you were truly seeking God? When your heart was open to Him? He was speaking to you, guiding you, drawing you closer—and you were receptive.

The problem many believers face is that after experiencing salvation, they often lose that openness. In Matthew 18, when the disciples asked Jesus who was the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven, He called a little child to Him. He said:

Similarly, in Luke 18, Jesus said:

This means that entering Heaven itself is connected to having the heart of a child—embracing the same qualities that make children open to receiving.

What Do Little Children Understand That Many Forget?

Think about Samuel as a child. When God called him, he listened and responded. Little children are naturally open. They instinctively understand that life depends on receiving—food, nourishment, care, love, and protection. They don’t resist; they simply accept.

But as we grow older, we become less open. We get set in our ways, convinced that we already know everything. In the natural world, younger people tend to be more open than older ones. Age, experience, and the hardships of life often cause people to close themselves off—mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

The Secret to Living a Blessed Life

The greatest wisdom a child has is openness—a heart ready to receive. The blessings of God continue to flow, but only those who stay open can receive them. Being open to God—not the world—is the key to continuous blessings.

No matter how much you think you know, there is always more to learn, receive, and experience in God. His wonders are limitless!

Think of a radio broadcasting a beautiful symphony. The music is available to everyone, but only those who turn on their receivers will hear it. In the same way, Jesus died for all, but only those who receive Him are saved:

You were saved because you were open. This is why so many people find God during their teenage years or early adulthood—because that is a time of change and openness. But no matter your age, you can still receive if you remain open.

The More You Receive, the More You Are Blessed

God’s nature is to bless, and He does so impartially. So why do some believers experience more blessings than others? Because those who receive the most, are the most blessed.

God’s blessings are like radio waves—available to all. But the ones who tune in and receive them experience the fullness of His goodness.

If you desire to live a life overflowing with blessings, become the best at receiving from God. Seek His presence, dive into His Word, and claim His promises. His blessings are there, waiting for you—but you must receive them.

The Bible is filled with God’s promises, but they will only transform your life if you take hold of them. The more you believe, the more you receive, and the more His blessings will manifest in your life.

A Childlike Faith: Seeing Everything as New

Children see the world with fresh eyes, embracing the newness of life. Likewise, to walk in the fullness of God’s blessings, we must regain that childlike openness and faith.

Stay open to God, and you will walk in His endless blessings.
