Courage to Trust: Craig Groeschel Daily Devotional – October 15, 2026

If your heart feels a little tired today—tired of waiting, tired of worrying, tired of wondering how things will work out—you’re not alone. God sees the weight you carry: the bills, the health reports, the tension in your relationships, the quiet fears you don’t talk about. This devotional is for you, right where you are, on this ordinary yet holy October day. Lean in for a few minutes. Let God speak courage into the places where fear has been too loud. You don’t have to have everything figured out; you just have to place everything back into His hands.

Standing on the Promise

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5–6, NIV) This verse gently confronts our instinct to control everything. God doesn’t ask you to ignore reality; He invites you to trust Him above what you see and feel. “With all your heart” means no backup plan, no partial surrender—just a steady, sometimes trembling, “Yes, Lord, I trust You.” As you submit your ways to Him today—your schedule, your meetings, your parenting, your decisions—He promises to straighten what feels tangled and confusing. You may not see it yet, but He is already at work.

Faith for the Middle of the Story

Most of us love testimonies, but we live most days in the middle of the story. Maybe you’re between diagnosis and healing, between job loss and new opportunity, between prayer and obvious answer. The middle can feel messy and uncertain, but this is exactly where faith grows deep roots. Instead of asking, “God, where are You?” begin to ask, “God, what are You forming in me right now?” As Pastor Craig Groeschel often reminds us, your biggest struggles can become your strongest testimonies when you choose to trust God in the tension. Today, choose small, practical steps: pause to pray before reacting, speak words of life instead of fear, and thank God for what He’s doing, even before you see it.

Growing Steady in Spirit

Father, strengthen our faith today. We surrender our doubts, our questions, and our timelines to You. Teach us to listen for Your voice above the noise of our worries. Help us to love Your Word, to lean into Your presence, and to depend on Your Spirit in every conversation and decision. Where our faith has grown weak, breathe new life. Where our hearts feel numb, awaken fresh passion for You. Draw us closer so that our first instinct would be to run to You, not away from You. Let today be another step in our spiritual growth—more trust, more surrender, more awareness that You are Emmanuel, God with us, in every moment.

Grace Over Our Homes

Lord, we lift our families and relationships to You. Cover our homes with Your peace. Heal divisions, soften hardened hearts, and restore broken trust. Give husbands, wives, parents, and children the courage to apologize quickly and to forgive freely. Protect our marriages from bitterness, comparison, and distraction. Surround our children and grandchildren with godly influences and wise mentors. For those who feel lonely or distant from family, wrap them in Your comforting presence and provide spiritual family through the church. Let every home represented here become a place where Your name is honored, Your love is felt, and Your grace shapes every conversation.

Strength for Body and Soul

God, You know the aches we hide and the diagnoses that keep us awake at night. We invite Your healing power into every cell, muscle, and system of our bodies. Strengthen immune systems, restore energy, and calm anxious minds. For those battling chronic pain, cancer, mental illness, or quiet emotional wounds, let today bring a tangible touch of Your comfort. Grant wisdom to doctors, nurses, and caregivers. Replace fear with peace, frustration with hope. Remind us that our bodies are temples of Your Holy Spirit, and help us to steward them well—through rest, wise choices, and dependence on Your strength when ours runs out.

Provision in Every Season

Lord, we bring our work, finances, and future plans before You. For those job hunting, open doors that no one can shut. For those working long hours, give favor, excellence, and clear boundaries. Bless business owners with integrity, creativity, and godly partnerships.
