Confronting Witchcraft | Tim Sheets

Last week, I discussed the topic of spiritual warfare and the crucial role of the Church in using prayer and faith-filled decrees to bind the kingdom of Satan and protect our lives, our nation, our businesses, and vocations, as well as the Church. I specifically focused on the rising issue of witchcraft in our nation, which we even saw reported in the news this week. While this is not something we fear, we must remain proactive and engaged, acting as Watchmen. These are not topics we typically address on a Sunday morning, but in recent weeks, the Holy Spirit has stirred the Church nationwide, urging us to pay attention to these matters and take action.

I shared these principles in meetings with leaders, but now, it seems the Holy Spirit is calling for the Church to address this more broadly. My goal was to offer a perspective on the state of our nation, and I also compared King Cyrus to President Donald Trump. If you missed it, you can listen to the CD to learn more. I believe God raised up someone who would play by different rules to uncover the deep state corruption that is anti-Christ, anti-Church, and aims to silence the Church. For 50 years, this corruption tried to stifle and rewrite the history and laws of this nation. Just as God sent King Cyrus to intervene for Israel, I believe He is doing the same for America.

If you haven’t seen the video from Lance Wallnau that we sent out this week, I highly recommend you watch it, as it provides a valuable perspective. Last week, I also showed a brief video from Pastor John Kilpatrick, who led the Church of His Presence and previously pastored Brownsville Assembly, which stewarded one of America’s greatest revivals. In the video, Pastor Kilpatrick shared how the Holy Spirit revealed that America, under its president, has been facing the spirit of King Ahab but would soon confront the spirit of Queen Jezebel. The Holy Spirit called the Church to pray and bind the spirit of Jezebel.

I felt led to delve deeper into this topic, as well as the other dark spirits I mentioned last week, such as the spirit of divination, Python, Leviathan, and Absalom. Today, I will focus more on witchcraft and expand on this topic, as the Holy Spirit has interrupted the flow to remind us to pay attention to these spiritual battles.

Scripture tells us in the Book of Revelation, Chapter 2, verse 18-20, that Jesus addressed the Church in Thyatira, warning against the spirit of Jezebel. He condemned those who allowed this spirit to lead His servants astray. While the Jezebel spirit can manifest in both males and females, it’s important to recognize this warning.

In 1 Peter 5:8 (Amplified version), we are told to be vigilant and sober-minded because our enemy, the devil, roams like a hungry lion, seeking someone to devour. The Message Bible paraphrases it as a call to stay alert because the devil is ready to pounce, hoping to catch us off guard. We cannot allow the devil, through the Jezebel spirit or anyone influenced by it, to catch us unaware.

Let us pray: “Lord, we thank You today that Your Word is alive, active, and powerful. Holy Spirit, You hear what the King is saying, and You come to reveal it to us. We welcome Your presence and guidance. Steer us as You desire, and may we have ears anointed to hear beyond the natural realm. I pray that my words would be anointed, that none of them would fall to the ground. Grant us understanding and clarity in Your truth.”
