Andrew Wommack Daily Devotional – October 17, 2026: Standing Firm in Grace
Some days you wake up with courage in your heart and fire in your soul. Other days, it takes everything in you just to get out of bed and face what’s waiting. If today feels heavy, you are not alone—and you are not without help. The same God who raised Jesus from the dead is living inside of you right now. His grace is not a vague spiritual idea; it is His very power working in your everyday life, in your home, your body, your job, and in the thoughts that swirl through your mind. As you read and pray through this devotional, let the Holy Spirit remind you: you are deeply loved, fully known, and never abandoned. God is for you today, and His grace is more than enough.
Rooted in a Better Covenant
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.” (Ephesians 2:8, NKJV) This verse pulls you back to the foundation: everything starts with God’s grace, not your performance. You don’t earn His love by praying long enough, serving hard enough, or being “good” enough. Salvation—and every blessing that flows from it—is a gift. Andrew Wommack often emphasizes that grace is what God has already provided, and faith simply receives what He has finished. Today, instead of striving to deserve God’s favor, rest in the truth that you already have it in Christ. Let that awareness quiet the voice of condemnation and open your heart to expect good from God.
Living From Acceptance, Not For Acceptance
When you know you’re already accepted by God, it changes how you move through your day. You don’t walk into your workplace, your kitchen, or your toughest conversation trying to prove your value. You walk in carrying the confidence that you are loved and chosen. That security frees you to forgive faster, worry less, and take bold steps of faith. Today, pause before you react. Before you send that text, answer that email, or respond to that attitude, whisper, “Father, I’m already loved. Help me respond from grace, not fear.” As you do this consistently, the peace of Christ will begin to seep into your habits, soften your words, and shape your decisions.
Drawing Near in Faith and Growth
Father, in Jesus’ name, I choose to trust You today. I lay down the belief that I must fix everything, carry everything, and understand everything. I receive Your grace for my weaknesses, my questions, and even my failures. Holy Spirit, strengthen my faith where it feels thin. Remind me of who I am in Christ—redeemed, righteous, and deeply loved. Stir up a fresh hunger for Your Word so I don’t live on yesterday’s revelation. Teach me to hear Your voice more clearly and obey more quickly. Grow in me a steady, unshakable confidence that You are working all things together for my good, even when I can’t yet see the outcome. Today, I surrender my plans and invite Yours. Lead me deeper into spiritual maturity and closer to Your heart.
Grace for Family and Home
Lord, I lift my family and loved ones before You. Cover our home with Your peace and presence. Heal broken communication, soften hardened hearts, and restore what distance, stress, or disappointment have damaged. Give us grace to listen instead of attack, to speak blessing instead of criticism. Guard our marriages, strengthen our parents, and draw every son and daughter to a real, personal relationship with You. Let our home be a place where forgiveness is normal, laughter returns easily, and Your Word is honored. Today, I release my loved ones into Your hands and trust that You are working in their lives far beyond what I can see.
Healing for Body, Mind, and Emotions
Jesus, You are my healer. You carried my sickness, pain, and anxiety to the cross. I receive Your finished work over my body and mind. I speak life and strength into every cell, every organ, every system. Where there is pain, let relief come. Where there is disease, let healing spring forth. Calm racing thoughts, quiet fear, and break the power of depression and torment. Replace heaviness with a garment of praise and despair with living hope. Help me make wise choices with rest, food, and movement. Let my body be a testimony of Your goodness and my mind a place where Your peace rules.
