Todd White Daily Devotional – October 27, 2026: Burning With First-Love Fire
If your heart feels a little tired today, you’re not alone. Maybe you love Jesus, but the weight of bills, deadlines, family pressures, or health concerns has dimmed the flame you used to carry. As you read this, imagine the Holy Spirit gently placing His hand on your shoulder, saying, “I’m still here. I haven’t changed. Let’s walk together again.” Today’s devotional, inspired by the bold, Jesus-centered life Todd White often talks about, is a call back to simple, fiery, childlike faith—a life where you know, deep down, that you are radically loved and fully accepted by God.
Anchored in the Word of Life
“For we live by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:7, NIV) This verse is short, but it cuts through the fog of fear and uncertainty. Faith means trusting what God has said even when your feelings scream the opposite. It’s deciding that God’s Word is more real than the news, more solid than your bank account, and more stable than your emotions. When Todd White talks about living on fire for Jesus, he’s really talking about living by faith—believing God’s promises so deeply that it changes how you speak, how you stand, and how you love the people around you.
Faith in the Middle of Real-Life Pressure
Walking by faith is not pretending everything is perfect. It’s inviting Jesus into the middle of the mess. When the numbers don’t add up, you still thank Him as your Provider. When your body aches, you still confess He is your Healer. When your family is struggling, you still call Him the Restorer of broken things. Today, choose one area of your life that feels overwhelming and consciously hand it to God. Say out loud, “Lord, I trust You with this,” and picture placing it into His strong, capable hands. Then, keep moving forward, one small step of obedience at a time.
Prayer for Faith, Fire, and Deep Trust
Father, in Jesus’ name, I ask You to rekindle a burning, pure faith in my heart today. Strip away the dullness, apathy, and fear that have crept in. Teach me to live by what You have spoken, not by what I see. I pray for a tender, responsive heart that believes Your promises and rests in Your character. Holy Spirit, reveal Jesus to me in a fresh way—let His love for me become more real than my worries. Strengthen my spirit so I stand firm when circumstances shake. I surrender my doubts, my timelines, and my need to control, and I choose to trust You completely.
Covering Our Homes in God’s Peace
Lord, I lift my family and loved ones before You. Bring Your peace into every room of my home. Heal unspoken hurts, soften hard hearts, and restore broken relationships. Let forgiveness flow where there has been offense. Help us speak life-giving words instead of criticism or anger. Protect our marriages, our children, and our friendships from division, confusion, and temptation. May our home be a place where Your presence is noticed, where worship is natural, and where love is visible. Teach us to honor one another and to serve each other with the same love Jesus has shown us.
Strength for Body, Mind, and Emotions
Jesus, I bring my health and the health of those I love to You. You are the Great Physician, and by Your wounds we are healed. Touch every cell, every organ, every system in our bodies. Bring alignment, strength, and wholeness. For anyone battling pain, chronic illness, anxiety, or depression, I ask for Your supernatural comfort and breakthrough. Calm racing thoughts and quiet anxious hearts. Replace fear with perfect peace. Teach us to care for our bodies as temples of the Holy Spirit, to rest when we need rest, and to speak words of life over our health instead of words of defeat.
Favor in Work, Finances, and Daily Assignment
Father, I place my job, career, and finances into Your faithful hands. Open doors that no one can shut and close doors that are not from You. Give me wisdom in every decision, from spending and saving to investing and giving. Provide opportunities that align with Your calling over my life. Bless the work of my hands—whether it’s in an office, a classroom, a job site, at home, or on the road. Let
