Pastor Greg Laurie Daily Devotional – October 22, 2026
If your heart feels a little tired today, you are not alone. Many believers across our nation quietly carry worries about their families, their health, their bills, and the uncertainty of tomorrow. Yet right in the middle of all that, Jesus leans in close and whispers, “I am with you.” This devotional is a gentle pause in your busy day—a moment to breathe, to remember who God is, and to let hope rise again in your soul. Today, let’s walk together in faith, taking our fears, our questions, and our dreams to the One who never changes.
Strength for a New Day
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8, ESV) When the world feels like it’s shifting under our feet, this verse anchors us. The same Jesus who saved, healed, restored, and forgave in the Gospels is the Jesus who walks with you right now in 2026. He has not lost His power, His kindness, or His patience. His love is not weaker because your circumstances are harder. The Savior who calmed storms still speaks “Peace, be still” to your anxious heart. Fix your eyes on His unchanging character, and let that truth steady your thoughts today.
Living with Courage in Ordinary Moments
Faith is not only for Sunday services or crisis moments; it is for the school run, the commute, the grocery store, and the late-night bill paying. Spiritual maturity grows in the small choices: choosing to pray instead of panic, to forgive instead of replaying old offenses, to open your Bible instead of scrolling endlessly. Ask the Lord to help you see your ordinary moments as sacred opportunities. When you feel discouraged, quietly whisper, “Jesus, I trust You here.” Over time, those little prayers build a deep, steady confidence in God that carries you through big storms as well.
Drawing Deeper into Faith and Trust
Father, thank You that faith comes by hearing Your Word and by walking with You day by day. Today, strengthen our faith where it feels fragile. Help us to trust Your timing when the waiting feels long. Teach us to believe that You are good even when we cannot see what You are doing. We surrender our plans, our fears, and our expectations to You. Grow in us a faith that does not collapse under pressure but leans harder into Your promises. Holy Spirit, remind us that we are never alone; guide our decisions and guard our hearts from unbelief.
Covering Our Homes with Peace
Lord, we bring our families and loved ones before You. You see every marriage, every child, every grandchild, every strained relationship. Heal what is broken, soften hard hearts, and restore what years of hurt may have damaged. Let our homes be places where Your presence is felt in the way we speak, forgive, and listen to each other. Give wisdom to parents, strength to single moms and dads, and grace to children navigating a confusing world. Protect our households from division, bitterness, and fear. May Your peace sit at our kitchen tables, fill our living rooms, and greet us at our front doors.
Health, Healing, and Inner Quiet
Jesus, our Healer, we place our bodies, minds, and emotions in Your caring hands. For those fighting sickness, chronic pain, or weakness, stretch out Your hand to heal, restore, and bring relief. For those struggling with anxiety, depression, or sleepless nights, speak Your calm into their thoughts. Teach us to care well for the bodies You have given us, to rest when we need rest, and to listen to Your gentle warnings when we push too hard. Replace fear of bad reports with confidence in Your goodness. Let Your joy be our strength and Your presence be the medicine our souls crave.
Work, Finances, and Daily Provision
Lord, You know the pressures of rent, mortgages, medical bills, and unexpected expenses. You see the believer wondering if the paycheck will stretch far enough. You also see those searching for a job or feeling stuck in one that drains them. Open doors no man can shut. Provide opportunities that fit the gifts You have placed in us. Give us diligence, integrity, and creativity in our work. Teach us to honor You with what we earn and to be wise stewards, not slaves to money. Calm every fearful thought about provision with the assurance that You are our Shepherd, and we shall not want.
