Anchored by a Promise

“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.” (Hebrews 10:23, NKJV) This verse invites you to grab hold of hope like an anchor in a storm. It doesn’t say, “Hold fast if everything makes sense,” or “Hold fast if you feel strong.” It simply says, “Hold fast,” because the strength of your hope is not in you—it’s in the One who promised. God’s faithfulness is not fragile. He doesn’t change His mind about you when you struggle. When doubts whisper, you can answer them with this truth: God is faithful; His Word over my life will stand.

Living with Expectant Faith Today

Hope in God is not passive; it changes how you walk through your Monday, your errands, your emails, and your family moments. Instead of rehearsing worst-case scenarios, you can begin to quietly say, “Lord, I trust You with this.” When fear rises about your children, your job, or your future, you can pause and breathe, “God, You are already there.” Choose one situation today that has been draining your peace. Picture placing it in God’s hands. Refuse to keep picking it back up through worry. You may not feel an instant change, but every time you choose trust over anxiety, your spiritual muscles grow. Over time, faith becomes your first response, not your last resort.
