Steven Furtick Daily Devotional – October 12, 2026

This new day is a fresh canvas in God’s hands, and He chose you to live it. Maybe you woke up with a heavy heart, worries about your future, or questions you can’t quite silence. Or maybe today feels ordinary, like just another Monday on the calendar. But in God’s eyes, this is not an average day. This is a day for faith, for choosing trust over fear, and for stepping into the hope He has already prepared for you. As you read this devotional and pray through these words, let your heart lean in. God is closer than your next breath, and He is speaking courage, peace, and purpose over your life right now.

Anchored By His Promise

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” (Psalm 46:1, ESV) This verse reminds us that God is not distant or delayed. He is “very present” in the exact place you feel pressure, confusion, or weakness. Refuge means a safe place to run, and strength means the power you don’t have on your own. When you feel overwhelmed, this promise shifts your focus from “How will I handle this?” to “My God is with me in this.” Today, let this truth sink in: you are never facing your battles alone. The God who spoke galaxies into existence stands beside you and within you.

Walking Through Today With Expectant Faith

Faith doesn’t always change our circumstances in a moment, but it always changes how we walk through them. You may not see the full picture of what God is doing, but you can choose to believe that He is at work behind the scenes. When anxiety starts to rise, pause and whisper, “God, I trust You with this.” When discouragement tries to shut you down, remind your heart, “This is not the end of my story.” Take small, practical steps of obedience today: make that phone call, show up to work with integrity, speak kindly to the person who frustrates you, read a few verses from Scripture, or turn on worship music in your car. Each step is a seed of faith planted in the soil of your everyday life, and God knows how to bring that seed to harvest in His time.

Strengthening Faith and Deepening Trust

Father, today we bring You our faith, even if it feels fragile. We ask You to deepen our trust in who You are, not just in what You can do. Where we doubt, remind us of Your faithfulness in the past. Where we feel small, remind us that You are mighty. Stir our spirits to believe that Your promises are for us, right now, right here. Teach us to listen for Your voice in Scripture, in quiet moments, and in the ordinary routines of the day. Grow in us a faith that stands firm when circumstances shake, a faith that declares, “My God is still good, my God is still able, and my God is still with me.”

Grace Over Our Homes and Relationships

Lord, we lift our families and relationships to You. Cover our homes with Your peace. Heal broken places where there has been misunderstanding, distance, or hurtful words. Help husbands and wives to love one another with patience and humility. Strengthen parents to raise their children with wisdom, compassion, and clear boundaries rooted in Your truth. Protect our loved ones—near and far—and surround our homes with Your presence. Let forgiveness flow where grudges have taken root, and let conversations be filled with grace instead of anger. May our homes become places where Your name is honored, Your love is shown, and Your peace is felt the moment we walk through the door.

Healing, Wholeness, and Inner Peace

Jesus, You are our healer. We bring to You every ache in our bodies, every diagnosis, every chronic pain, and every hidden symptom that no one else understands. We also bring our emotional burdens—the anxiety that won’t quiet down, the sadness that lingers, the trauma that still echoes from the past. Lay Your healing hand upon us. Renew our strength where we are weary. Give doctors, nurses, and caregivers wisdom and skill. Calm racing thoughts and replace them with Your perfect peace. Help us to care for our bodies as Your temples—with rest, nourishment, and healthy choices. Above all, remind us that our lives are in Your hands and that nothing can separate us from Your love.
