During his reckless party, as he used sacred items for his own amusement, a mysterious hand began writing on the wall a divine warning that his life and reign were hanging in the balance.
This is a striking reminder that no one is beyond God’s reach, and no one can avoid the consequences of defying Him. We may try to justify our actions or ignore spiritual realities, but the truth stands. At any moment, our lives can be weighed and found wanting unless we turn to the One who gives us breath and a reason for living.
