Steven Furtick Daily Devotional May 30, 2026
If you are reading this today, you may feel like your life is stuck in the “middle” of the story. The promise God gave you has not fully shown up yet. The prayers you have poured out have not all been answered the way you hoped. Maybe you are waiting for healing, restoration in your family, breakthrough in your finances, or simply a fresh sense of God’s presence. You are not alone. God sees you in the middle, and He is not finished. Today’s devotional is a gentle reminder that your faith is not wasted, your tears are not ignored, and your hope is not misplaced. The same God who started a good work in you is committed to finishing it, even when you cannot see how.
Anchored in a Promise
“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:6, NIV) This verse tells you something powerful: God is not a quitter. When He begins a work in your heart, your family, your calling, He does not walk away when things get messy, complicated, or delayed. Your confidence is not in your own ability to keep it all together; your confidence is in God’s character. He finishes what He starts. Even when you feel behind, God is right on time. Even when you feel like a work in progress, He calls you His masterpiece in progress.
Faith for the Ordinary Monday Moments
Most spiritual growth does not happen on the mountaintop; it happens on ordinary days like this one. Faith is not just for Sundays at church; it is for the commute, the company meeting, the pile of laundry, and the late-night worries that keep you awake. Today, you can choose to talk to God instead of just talking to your worries. You can choose to thank Him for one good thing before you complain about what is missing. You can pause and say, “Lord, I trust You with this conversation, this bill, this diagnosis, this decision.” When you invite God into the small moments, He strengthens you for the big ones. One step of obedience, one whispered prayer, one act of kindness can shift the atmosphere of your entire day.
Prayer for Growing Faith and Deeper Trust
Father, in Jesus’ name, I ask You to stretch my faith today. Where I have been afraid, meet me with Your perfect love. Where I have doubted, remind me of all the ways You have carried me before. Grow in me a hunger for Your Word and a desire to hear Your voice. Teach me to trust You when I do not understand what You are doing. Help me surrender my plans, my timelines, and my anxieties into Your hands. Strengthen my spirit so that I do not give up in the middle of the process. Let my faith be rooted not in my feelings but in Your unchanging promises. Amen.
Covering Our Homes in God’s Peace
Lord, I lift up my family and every relationship connected to my life. Bring healing where there has been hurt, unity where there has been division, and tenderness where hearts have grown cold. Guard our home with Your peace. Let forgiveness flow more freely than frustration. Teach us to listen with grace and speak with kindness. Protect our marriages, our children, our parents, and our friends. Surround our loved ones with Your angels and draw each of us closer to You and to one another. May our home be a place where Your presence is felt, where hope is spoken, and where love is lived out daily. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Health, Healing, and Inner Strength
Jesus, You are the Healer of our bodies, our minds, and our souls. I bring to You every pain, every diagnosis, every hidden anxiety, and every quiet fear. Touch the places that doctors cannot reach and the wounds that nobody else sees. Strengthen my immune system, renew my energy, and settle my nervous heart. Help me make wise choices for my health—rest, nutrition, movement, and boundaries. Heal emotional scars from past trauma and disappointment. Replace heaviness with hope, confusion with clarity, and exhaustion with supernatural strength. Let Your peace guard my heart and mind today. Amen.
