Rivers of Cascading Light | Tim Sheets

Today I want to share a prophetic message about the extraordinary possibilities now standing before the Church of Jesus Christ if we choose to pray, believe, and decree them in faith. Yes, I will speak briefly about the death of Charlie Kirk, but through the lens of prophetic insight and spiritual discernment. Understanding the times is something I take very seriously. I believe it is a sacred responsibility.

Of course, I know only in part and prophesy only in part. No one fully understands everything the Holy Spirit is doing or preparing to do. Yet I firmly believe His plans will reveal Jesus to this generation. At times, we must look beyond human emotion, endless arguments, and the noise of competing voices. We must push through the fog of confusion and listen for the possibilities the Holy Spirit is releasing ways He can bring good out of evil. This does not erase grief, but it does create hope, and hope has the power to transform.

In difficult seasons, we must pause and reflect on what God has said and what He is saying now. It is often easier to remember what He has spoken in the past because we can record it and revisit it. But we must also remain sensitive to His present voice. I believe the Holy Spirit is speaking clearly and powerfully in this hour.

The past several weeks have been deeply painful. The assassination of Charlie Kirk has shaken our nation and pierced the hearts of millions. I have personally wept many times over these past days. Countless young people are grieving.

Charlie was an unashamed follower of Christ who boldly declared again and again that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. He often said his desire was to serve Jesus Christ while being a good father, a faithful husband, and a loyal friend. Though he was only 31 years old when he was killed, his life reflected those values.

Some critics will say he was imperfect, that he made mistakes, or that he did not always say everything correctly. But who among us is perfect? Is that not why Jesus came to forgive, cleanse, redeem, and carry our sins upon Himself? Jesus alone is the perfect One. Not Charlie, and certainly not me.

What I do know is this: Charlie boldly preached the gospel of salvation on college campuses without compromise, leading thousands of young people to Christ. For that, I am deeply grateful. Many believe he reached more youth for Jesus over the last decade than anyone else. Through social media, he influenced over one hundred million people each month, encouraging young people to attend church, pray, and read the Bible.

Charlie was also fearless in confronting the cultural issues of our time. He debated with remarkable intelligence and clarity. He understood that the Church is not merely a religious institution it is a governing body called to influence culture, society, and public life. He often explained the biblical meaning of the word ekklesia, Christ’s name for His Church, with unusual depth and insight.

He demonstrated that conviction by founding Turning Point USA, raising up young Christian men and women to stand for Christ, uphold biblical truth, defend marriage and family, and engage every sphere of society including politics, education, science, business, and media. He challenged young believers to speak boldly and never remain silent. He became a champion of free speech and moral courage.

But evil sought to silence him. Hell’s agenda attempted to destroy a voice of truth in front of the world. Yet I believe this attack will fail miserably and become one of darkness’s greatest defeats.

Hope will rise from the crushing. Beauty will rise from the ashes. What was meant to destroy will become fuel for awakening. I believe thousands perhaps millions of new voices will now rise. New Charlie Kirks. New Erica Kirks. Courageous men and women stepping forward together to carry the torch of truth.

God can still turn what was intended for evil into good.

Passive Christianity is being confronted. Silent and lifeless churches will be exposed, while Christ’s true Ekklesia rises to proclaim the gospel of the Kingdom with power.
