Taking Your Leap Of Faith | Jonathan Cahn Sermon
Taking Your Leap Of Faith
Jonathan Cahn shares how to take your Leap of Faith into the calling for your life.
The Lord is speaking to you today: “I have not taken back My calling on your life.” No matter the setbacks you’ve faced—the hardships, attacks, brokenness, disappointments, or frustrations—none of these have canceled your purpose. My calling still stands.
Now think about something you might have never considered: your eyes were created to face one direction. You don’t have eyes on the back or sides of your head. Your eyes are in front—and so are your feet. That’s not by accident. The direction you look is the direction your life will move.
If your eyes were pointing backward, you’d only see where you’ve been—never where you’re going. You’d be living in reverse. But God didn’t design you to live backward. Your vision determines your direction. What you choose to focus on will shape your future.
So, what are you looking at right now? Are you dwelling on the past, on pain, on negativity? If you do, that’s where you’ll remain. But if you fix your focus on what is good, godly, and aligned with your calling, that’s where your life will begin to go.
Train your spiritual eyes—the eyes of your heart—to look away from temptation, distraction, or anything that leads you off course. Look toward God’s promises. Focus on the life He’s called you to live. The more you set your eyes on your divine purpose, the more your steps will follow that path.
We’ll explore more in the days ahead from the life of Nehemiah, but here’s the truth for today: you were created with a purpose. Nehemiah didn’t invent his calling—God gave it to him before the foundation of the world. And the same is true for you.
God’s plan for you began to unfold the moment you surrendered your life to Him. Your calling is not something you make up—it’s something you discover. It’s something that is revealed, and it requires your yes.
When I was younger, I had no idea what my calling was. But once I gave my life to God, He began to reveal it to me—step by step. All I had to do was obey what I did know, and He led me into what I didn’t know.
Even if you only understand one small step of God’s will—take it. That one step can lead to many blessings. Just like Paul only had to go to Straight Street, and Ananias only had to go meet Paul—God doesn’t require you to know everything, just to follow.
As your calling unfolds, treasure it. Protect it. Guard it. Remove anything in your life that slows you down, distracts you, or delays your purpose. Instead, choose what moves you forward. Choose what draws you closer to God’s destiny for your life.
Having a calling doesn’t mean the road will be easy. Nehemiah faced constant opposition. Many of you have gone through painful seasons—betrayal, loss, failure, discouragement, confusion. And maybe you gave up. Maybe you assumed God had taken away your calling.
But the Lord says this to you today:
“I have not revoked your calling. All those trials didn’t cancel it—they’re part of your story, part of your victory.”
