Steven Furtick Daily Devotional – October 27, 2026: Trusting God in the Middle

If you’re reading this today, there’s a good chance you’re somewhere “in the middle.” Not where you used to be, but not yet where you hoped you’d be. Maybe a promise feels delayed, a prayer seems unanswered, or a door you were counting on just shut in your face. Your heart loves God, but your emotions have questions. This devotional is for that sacred place in between—the place Steven Furtick often calls “the middle”—where your faith is tested, stretched, and strengthened. Today, God wants to remind you that He is not just the God of breakthroughs at the finish line; He is the God who stands with you in the messy, uncertain middle, holding your hand, steadying your heart, and writing a story that is better than anything you could have scripted on your own.

Strength for the Space Between

“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:6, NIV) This verse is more than a refrigerator magnet; it’s a lifeline for people who feel stuck in process. Paul doesn’t say God might finish what He started; he says God will. The same God who saved you is still shaping you. Even when your progress feels slow or invisible, heaven sees a work in motion, not a life on pause. Today, let this verse quiet the lie that you’ve missed your chance or messed up God’s plan. If He began the work, He takes responsibility for completing it.

Living Confidently When You Don’t Feel Certain

Faith in real life looks less like a perfect Instagram quote and more like choosing to trust God while you’re doing the dishes, commuting to work, helping with homework, or sitting in a waiting room. The middle seasons often expose our fears and false priorities, but they also invite us into deeper dependence on God. One practical step today: Consciously pause before reacting. When anxiety rises about your family, job, or finances, whisper, “Lord, I trust You here,” and picture placing that situation in His hands. Open your Bible, even for five minutes, and ask Him, “Show me one thing I can hold on to today.” Faith grows not by feeling strong, but by coming back to God again and again, even when you feel weak.

Anchored Faith in a Shifting World

Father, in Jesus’ name, I bring You my faith as it is—sometimes bold, sometimes trembling. Deepen my trust in You today. Remind me that my emotions are not the measure of Your faithfulness. Plant Your Word deep in my heart so that when doubts shout, Your truth speaks louder. Help me grow spiritually: teach me to love Your presence, to desire Your will more than my comfort, and to obey Your voice even when I don’t have all the answers. Strengthen my inner life—my thoughts, my attitudes, my desires—so that I become more like Jesus day by day. I surrender my timelines, plans, and expectations to You, believing that what You are building in me is worth the wait. Amen.

Grace Over My Home

Lord, I lift up my family and everyone connected to my life. Cover my home with Your peace. Where there has been tension, bring tenderness. Where there has been silence, open doors for honest, gracious conversations. Heal old wounds, soften hardened hearts, and restore broken connections. Surround my children, spouse, parents, and loved ones with Your protection and favor. Let forgiveness flow like a fresh wind through every room. Help us speak life over each other, not criticism or condemnation. May our home be a place where Your presence is felt, where laughter is heard, and where people feel safe to be honest and grow. Let Your love be the foundation of every relationship in my life.

Healing for Body and Soul

God, You know every ache, diagnosis, and hidden pain in my body and mind. I ask You for healing in the name of Jesus. Touch my immune system, my heart, my joints, my nerves—every cell. Strengthen what is weak, restore what has been damaged, and align what is out of order. For my emotional health, calm the storms of anxiety, depression, fear, and exhaustion. Replace the weight I carry with Your peace that passes all understanding. Give me wisdom to care for my body through rest, wise choices, and healthy boundaries. Let Your joy be my strength
