Sarah Jakes Roberts Daily Devotional – October 26, 2026
Some days you wake up and feel strong, focused, and full of vision. Other mornings, it takes everything in you just to swing your legs over the side of the bed. If that’s where you are today, you’re not alone. God sees the parts of your story you don’t talk about, the disappointments you carry quietly, and the battles you feel too tired to fight. Today’s devotional is a reminder that even when you feel worn down, heaven has not gone silent about your name. God is still writing, still working, and still turning broken pieces into holy purpose.
Anchored in a Faithful Promise
“Being confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 1:6, NKJV)
This verse is more than a comforting phrase—it’s a contract signed by God’s character. Paul isn’t just hopeful; he is confident. That same confidence belongs to you. The work God started in your heart, your family, your calling, and your healing is not on hold; it’s in process. You may only see pieces, but God sees the finished work. When doubt whispers that you’ve missed your moment or messed up beyond repair, Philippians 1:6 stands up in your spirit and says, “Not so. God is not finished with me yet.”
Walking Out Hope in the Everyday
Hope can feel fragile when bills are due, doctors are concerned, or your heart is still bruised from yesterday’s storm. But hope is not denial; it’s defiance. It looks at hard realities and still believes God has the final word. Today, choose one area of your life that feels stuck and invite God into it on purpose. Maybe you send that email you’ve been avoiding, schedule the counseling session, apply for the job, or apologize first in that strained relationship. Faith is not just felt in worship; it is proven in small, practical steps of obedience. As you move, trust that God is moving with you, going before you and standing behind you.
Lord, Grow My Faith and Ground My Heart
Heavenly Father, today I bring you my faith, even if it feels small and shaky. Strengthen what is weak inside of me. Teach me to trust Your timing when everything in me wants to rush or retreat. Grow me beyond spiritual routine and into real relationship with You. Help me choose Your Word over my worry. Let my times of prayer and worship become places of genuine encounter where You reshape my thoughts, my habits, and my expectations. Deepen my roots so that when winds blow, I bend but I do not break, because I am planted in You.
Covering Our Homes in Peace
Father, I lift my family and loved ones to You. You see every tension, every unspoken fear, every child on a difficult path, every marriage under pressure, every home where silence has replaced laughter. Step into our houses and hearts with Your peace. Heal old wounds and break cycles of anger, addiction, and rejection. Give parents wisdom, children obedience and security, and spouses humility and tenderness toward one another. Let our homes be sanctuaries where Your presence is welcomed, Your name is honored, and Your love is felt in the way we speak, forgive, and show up for one another.
Strength for the Body and Soul
Lord, You are the God who heals. I bring my health, my body, my energy, and my emotions before You. Touch every area that is hurting, inflamed, fatigued, or weighed down. Give wisdom to doctors and insight to every healthcare worker involved in my care. Strengthen my immune system, regulate every system out of order, calm anxious thoughts, and lift the heaviness of depression or discouragement. Teach me to honor You by caring for this body You’ve given me—with rest, movement, and nourishment. Let Your healing power flow from the inside out, restoring my joy, my strength, and my confidence in Your care.
God Over My Work and Resources
Father, I place my job, my career path, my studies, and my finances in Your hands. Where there is lack, open doors. Where there is confusion, release clarity. Bless the work of my hands and order my steps so that I’m not just chasing checks, but walking in purpose. Give me creative ideas, disciplined habits, and the courage to pursue what You’ve
