Paul Washer Daily Devotional – October 26, 2026
If your heart feels a little weary today, you are not alone. Many sincere believers across America wake up with questions, burdens, and quiet worries that never make it into words. Yet in all of this, God has not changed. The same holy, faithful God that men like Paul Washer preach about is the God who sees you in your living room, on your commute, in your break room, and at your kitchen sink. Today’s devotional is an invitation to draw near—to lay aside shallow religion and cling to the living Christ with honest faith, deep repentance, and hopeful confidence in His grace.
Anchored in a Holy God
“The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.” (Proverbs 18:10, NKJV) This verse reminds us that God is not a distant idea but a real refuge. His “name” speaks of His character—His holiness, faithfulness, and power. Paul Washer often emphasizes that knowing who God truly is changes everything. When you remember that God is holy and unchanging, your fears begin to lose their grip. Running to the Lord is not a vague spiritual concept; it means turning your heart, thoughts, and decisions toward Him, trusting that His character is stronger than any storm circling your life today.
Walking in Real, Not Comfortable, Christianity
Authentic Christianity is not about being impressive; it is about being surrendered. Many American believers have been tempted to settle for a safe, comfortable faith—polite church attendance, a quick prayer, and then back to self-dependence. But Christ calls us deeper. Like Paul Washer often preaches, the gospel is not an accessory to our lives; it is our very life. Today, choose honest faith over appearance. Open your Bible, even if your heart feels dry. Confess sin instead of explaining it away. Ask the Lord to make you more like Jesus, even if it means pruning and change. Spiritual growth is not instant, but as you keep turning to Him, He quietly reshapes your loves, priorities, and habits in ways you may only see clearly months or years from now.
Lord, Strengthen My Faith
Father, in the name of Jesus, I bring my faith before You today. I confess how easily my heart drifts toward doubt, fear, or self-reliance. Cleanse me from unbelief. Teach me to tremble at Your Word and to rest in Your promises. Deepen my love for Christ so that obedience is no longer a burden but a joy. Like a child who trusts a good father, help me lean on You in decisions big and small. Grow in me a faith that is not based on feelings or circumstances, but rooted in Your unshakable truth. May my life reflect that Christ truly lives in me.
Cover My Home with Your Peace
Lord, I lift my family and loved ones into Your hands. Heal broken conversations and old misunderstandings. Where there is tension, bring humility; where there is distance, restore tenderness. Let forgiveness flow freely in our home. Protect our marriages, our children, and our friendships from the enemy’s schemes and the distractions of this world. Make our homes places where Your Word is honored, prayer is normal, and grace is felt. Teach us to speak life over one another and to carry each other’s burdens with patience and compassion. Let Your peace be the atmosphere that surrounds our relationships.
Touch My Body, Mind, and Emotions
Gracious God, You see every pain, diagnosis, and hidden ache. I ask You to stretch out Your hand to heal, restore, and strengthen. For sickness, bring recovery; for chronic conditions, grant endurance, wisdom, and moments of real relief. Calm anxious thoughts and racing hearts. Replace heaviness with the oil of gladness and despair with a garment of praise. Help me honor You in how I care for my body and steward my rest. Guard my mind from destructive thoughts and remind me that my body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, bought with a price and precious in Your sight.
Lord, Be Lord Over My Work and Finances
Father, I surrender my work, career, and finances to You. You are Jehovah Jireh, my Provider, not the economy, not my employer, not my bank account. Grant wisdom in every decision I make today. Help me work with integrity, excellence, and a servant’s heart, whether my job feels fulfilling or frustrating. Open the right doors and
