Night Prayer of Gratitude and Protection | Evening Prayer Before Bed
Evening Prayer Before Bed
Thank you for granting me the opportunity to persevere until the end of this day. I praise you for showering me with countless blessings, all fruits of your love. Grant me the strength to be renewed as I rest, awakening tomorrow with a desire to love and do good. Grant me clean hands—hands extended to the needy, open to my brothers, raised in praise to you; hands that embrace, support, protect, care, and love.
Dear Heavenly Father,
As the day draws to a close and nightfall approaches, I come before You with a grateful heart. Thank You for guiding me through this day and for Your constant love and care. You are my refuge and my fortress, my stronghold in times of trouble. I trust in Your unfailing love and the promises found in Your Holy Word.
Lord, as I prepare to rest, I lay down every burden and place my trust in You. Help me to release the worries of this world and find peace in Your presence. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard my heart and mind through Christ Jesus.
Father, I ask for Your divine protection over me, my family, and my loved ones tonight. Surround us with Your angels to guard and keep us safe throughout the night. Shield us from harm and grant us peaceful rest under Your watchful care.
Lord, I bring before You every need — physical, emotional, and spiritual. I humbly ask for Your healing touch to restore my body, mind, and soul. Renew my strength and fill me with peace. I surrender all my worries, fears, and anxieties into Your loving hands, knowing that You are my provider and sustainer.
Before I close my eyes, I want to thank You for Your boundless love and grace. May Your peace and presence surround me as I sleep. Let me awaken tomorrow with a heart full of gratitude and praise for Your faithfulness and goodness in my life.
I trust in Your Word, which declares:
“The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”
—Psalm 18:2
