Michael Todd Daily Devotional – October 20, 2026

As you step into this day, God sees every detail you’re carrying—the silent battles, the hidden hopes, the questions you don’t know how to put into words. You may feel stretched, uncertain, or even a little worn out, but your story is not stuck. The Lord is still writing, still moving, still breathing life into places you thought were over. Today’s devotional is an invitation to lean in, to quiet the noise, and to remember that your Father is faithful, present, and working even when you can’t see the full picture. You’re not reading this by accident. The Holy Spirit is gently drawing you closer, reminding you that you are loved, you are seen, and you are not walking this road alone.

Anchored By His Promises

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5–6, NIV) This verse invites you to shift your weight from your own limited understanding to God’s limitless wisdom. Trusting with “all your heart” means you don’t keep a backup plan in case God doesn’t come through. It means you choose His voice over your fear, His Word over your worry, and His leading over your logic. As you surrender your plans, He doesn’t leave you in confusion—He promises to straighten your path, one step at a time.

Walking By Faith In Real Life

Trusting God isn’t a church-only idea; it’s a Monday-morning decision, a late-night choice, a conversation in the car when you’re not sure what’s next. Faith shows up when you get that unexpected bill, when the doctor’s report shakes you, when your child pulls away, or when your job feels unstable. Today, ask yourself: where am I leaning on my own understanding? Maybe it’s your finances, your future, or a relationship you’re trying to control. Invite God into that exact area. Speak His Word over it, even if your feelings haven’t caught up yet. Surrender doesn’t mean you stop planning or caring; it means you stop carrying the weight alone. Let this be the day you decide, “Lord, I will trust You right here, in the mess and in the middle.”

Growing Deeper In Faith

Father, in Jesus’ name, I bring my faith before You today. Strengthen my trust where it’s weak and deepen my roots where I’ve been shallow. Help me move from just hearing about You to actually walking with You. Teach me to rely on Your Word more than my emotions and circumstances. When doubt whispers that You’ve forgotten me, remind me of every time You’ve come through before. Grow in me a steady, resilient faith that holds onto Your promises even when the wind is strong and the storm is loud. Let my faith not only sustain me, but also encourage those around me to believe You for more.

Covering Our Homes In Prayer

Lord, I lift my family and loved ones to You. Cover our home with Your peace that silences strife, anxiety, and confusion. Heal broken places in our relationships—restore communication, trust, and tenderness where it has faded. For spouses, bring unity and compassion; for parents and children, release understanding and patience. Bless our households with joy that can’t be shaken by circumstances. Protect those we love, whether they live under our roof or miles away. May our homes be a place where Your presence is felt, Your name is honored, and Your love is displayed in the way we speak, forgive, and serve one another.

Health, Healing, And Inner Strength

Jesus, You are the Great Physician, and I place my body, mind, and emotions in Your hands. Where there is sickness, bring healing. Where there is pain, bring relief. Where there is exhaustion, bring supernatural strength and restoration. Calm anxious thoughts, lift the weight of depression, and silence the lies that say things will never change. Help me steward my health well—show me how to rest, how to nourish my body, and how to guard my heart. Let my physical health, emotional stability, and mental clarity reflect Your goodness. I receive Your healing touch today and declare that my body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, designed for purpose and not for defeat.
