Jack Hibbs : The Battlefield Of Life

How Can We Pray For You? Have you signed up yet?

No matter what life throws your way, remember this powerful truth: your defense is in God’s hands. Sometimes we only realize the weight of this truth in difficult moments—like when natural disasters strike, and many instinctively call upon God. But for believers, this truth remains steadfast: God Himself is our ultimate defender. He has promised to watch over us and to be our refuge. The Bible repeatedly urges us to run to Him as a fortress, providing unmatched protection and peace.

The book of Romans (8:34) reminds us that no one can condemn us because “It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, making intercession for us.” Jesus is actively praying for us to the Father, and we can be sure those prayers are answered.

Living as a follower of Jesus means that His life becomes our own. He guides us from within, shaping us daily to reflect His love. Remember, we are more than conquerors through Christ who loves us. In this battlefield of life, we hold onto the power of the resurrection, as Paul states in 1 Corinthians 15:13-20: “If Christ is not risen, our faith is futile.” But Paul assures us that Christ is indeed risen, sealing our hope and purpose in Him.

Real Christians understand that they are no longer bound by sin, but rather, they are transformed. The Holy Spirit affirms this within them. Sin no longer has control over their lives, and they rejoice in their newfound freedom in Christ. As believers, we resonate with Paul’s words, knowing they echo our own experience of liberation and transformation.

The power of the gospel shines through changed lives. It’s a fact, not just an opinion, that thousands can testify to God’s work in their lives, experiencing profound, lasting change from the inside out. Paul himself experienced one of the most dramatic life transformations, demonstrating the strength of God’s work.

In Revelation, John recounts a vision where he encounters the living God, saying, “I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying, ‘Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last.'” This phrase, “the First and the Last,” identifies the eternal God, the Almighty. He alone is the beginning and the end, the one who was, who is, and who is to come. No other founder of any religion could claim such a title, for God alone is everlasting.

Let us hold fast to these truths and take courage, knowing that our faith is anchored in a risen Savior, Jesus Christ, who lives and intercedes for us daily.
