Are You Blind to Your Destiny? | The Enemy’s Strategy – Stephanie Ike Okafor
What Do You See in Your Current Situation?
Have you ever stopped to reflect on what you truly see right now, where you are, and in the situation you’re facing? Are you viewing it through the lens of the natural world, or do you see it from God’s perspective?
Heavenly Father, we thank You for this moment. We come together in Your name, joining in prayer and worship. While there are countless gatherings around the world, it is in Your name that we unite. Lord, we know You are present in our midst, and we invite You to reveal Yourself in powerful ways. We pray that Your Word, through the Holy Spirit, penetrates the hearts of those gathered, breaking through any hardness of heart. Let Your light shine in the darkness, guiding Your children toward truth and freedom.
Without Your Spirit, we are powerless. Holy Spirit, glorify Jesus through everything we do. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
Thank you, Lord. You may be seated.
Yesterday was an incredible experience. Pastor K delivered a powerful word, and even in my own teachings, I emphasized the importance of laying a solid foundation before diving into the subject God has placed on my heart—faith. We will continue this journey today.
One of my passions is studying animals, especially eagles. There’s wisdom in creation that reveals deeper insights into God’s ways. Eagles are known for their ability to soar high, leveraging the wind to lift them effortlessly. But what makes their soaring truly effective is their remarkable vision. Eagles can see four to six times better than humans, making them both powerful and precise in their flight.
In the same way, we as believers need both vision and the ability to soar. Without sight, our efforts would be futile. Sight is essential in our spiritual lives, and I want to talk to you about the importance of spiritual vision. If you cannot see clearly in your current circumstances, you won’t have the clarity you need when you rise to greater heights.
So, I ask you: what do you see in your current situation? Do you see it as everyone else sees, through natural eyes, or do you see it through God’s eyes? There are times when God places us in environments or situations we may not like, such as a job or a challenging setting. If you only see through natural eyes, all you’ll do is complain. But if you see through God’s eyes, you’ll recognize that even though you dislike the situation, God is using it to refine your patience, shape your character, and develop the gifts He’s placed within you.
When you look at your surroundings—whether it’s your workplace, your community, or even your country—do you see the potential from God’s perspective? Take Nigeria, for example. Though it’s a nation facing challenges, including corruption, those who see through the natural lens will only complain. But when we see as God sees, we understand that Nigeria is the heartbeat of Africa. Its rise will bring spiritual freedom, not just for Africa, but for Black people worldwide.
Nigeria is a country where over 60% of the population is under 25, and yet much focus is placed on the corruption of a few, overlooking the power and potential of its youth. If you see through the natural perspective, you’ll only see corruption. But when you see spiritually, you realize this is a time for strategic investment in the youth. God is calling each of us to be part of the solution. The change starts with us—how we serve and invest in the youth in our communities.
So, I challenge you today: what do you see? What perspective are you taking in your current situation? Seek God’s vision and see the world through His eyes.
