Michael Todd Daily Devotional – November 1, 2026: Trusting God in the Middle

As you step into this new day, maybe your heart feels caught somewhere in the middle. The promise God gave you is real, but the process feels long, messy, and uncertain. You might be standing between “what was” and “what will be,” wondering if God still remembers your name, your prayers, your tears. This devotional today is for that middle space—for the days when faith feels like a stretch and hope feels fragile. God sees you, He is not late, and He is closer than the air you’re breathing right now. Let these words draw you back to the truth that your life is not random; it’s being carefully shaped by a loving Father who doesn’t waste anything—not your pain, not your waiting, and not even your mistakes.

Anchored by His Promise

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5–6, NIV) This verse invites you to release your grip on needing all the answers. God never asked you to figure everything out; He asked you to trust Him with everything—your fears, your plans, your questions. When you lean on your own understanding, anxiety grows. When you lean into God, confidence grows. Submitting your ways to Him isn’t losing control; it’s placing your life into the hands of the One who already sees the finish line. Today, God is whispering, “Let Me lead. I know the way.”

Living Faith in the Middle Moments

Spiritual growth doesn’t usually happen in the highlight moments; it happens in the quiet, ordinary, sometimes confusing in-between. Today, choose one simple act of trust: forgive someone you’ve been holding in your heart, open your Bible before you open social media, or pause to pray before you react in frustration. These small choices build a lifestyle of faith. When worry starts to speak louder than God’s Word, stop and say out loud, “Lord, I choose to trust You right now.” Faith is not a feeling; it’s a decision to believe that God is good even when life is not easy. Let your day become a series of tiny “yes” moments to Jesus.

Prayer for Deepening Faith and Spiritual Growth

Father, in Jesus’ name, I surrender my doubts, fears, and confusion to You. Grow my faith beyond what I can see. Help me to crave Your presence more than quick answers. Teach me to hear Your voice through Your Word and to follow Your leading, even when it stretches me. Break every lie that says I’m stuck, disqualified, or forgotten. Ignite a fresh hunger in me to pray, to worship, and to walk in obedience. Let the Holy Spirit shape my character so I look more like Jesus in my decisions, my reactions, and my desires. Strengthen me to stand firm in the middle, believing that You are working all things together for my good and Your glory. Amen.

Prayer Covering Your Family and Home

Lord, I lift my family and loved ones to You. Cover our home with Your peace and Your presence. Heal broken places in our relationships—unspoken hurts, old arguments, silent distance. Replace tension with tenderness and misunderstandings with mercy. Teach us to serve one another with humility and to speak life instead of criticism. Protect our children, grandchildren, and every person connected to us. Surround our family with godly influences, wise counsel, and healthy friendships. Let our home be a place where Your name is honored, where forgiveness flows freely, and where love is felt deeply. In Jesus’ name, restore, protect, and bless my household. Amen.

Prayer for Health, Strength, and Wholeness

Healing God, I bring my body, mind, and emotions before You. Where there is sickness, release Your healing power. Where there is fatigue, renew my strength. Where there is anxiety, pour out Your perfect peace. Touch every organ, every cell, every system in my body with Your restoring hand. Protect me and my loved ones from disease, accidents, and anything that would steal our health. For the emotional wounds I carry—disappointment, grief, rejection—breathe comfort and bring deep inner healing. Help me to honor You with healthy choices, rest, and self-control. Let my body be a temple of the Holy Spirit, strong and available for Your purposes. I receive Your life, Your strength, and Your wholen
