Dr. Bill Winston Daily Devotional – October 22, 2026

If your heart feels stretched by questions, deadlines, or silent battles nobody else can see, you are not alone today. God has scheduled this moment to remind you that He has not forgotten your name, your address, your tears, or your dreams. As you read this daily devotional inspired by the faith-filled teaching of Dr. Bill Winston, let hope rise again in you. The same God who spoke light into darkness is speaking into your situation right now. He is calling you higher—into deeper faith, clearer vision, and greater confidence in His covenant promises over your life.

Rooted in the Unshakable Word

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8, ESV)
This verse anchors us in a shifting world. The economy changes, people change, even our emotions change from day to day. But Jesus does not change. The same Jesus who healed the sick, fed multitudes, and calmed storms is the Jesus living in you today. His power, His compassion, and His willingness to move on your behalf have not diminished. When your feelings say, “Nothing is working,” this verse answers, “He is still the same.” Your faith is not rooted in how you feel but in who He is. That is why you can expect miracles, favor, and breakthrough—because His character never moves.

Walking by Faith in Everyday Moments

Faith is not only for Sunday services or desperate emergencies; it is for ordinary Thursday mornings and long commutes home. Walking by faith means training your heart to agree with God even when circumstances argue against you. Instead of saying, “I’ll believe it when I see it,” faith declares, “I’ll see it because I believe what God has said.” Today, invite God into simple tasks—answering emails, caring for your kids, paying bills, facing that medical report. Whisper, “Lord, I trust You here.” Small, consistent steps of faith open the door for God’s big assignments in your future.

Drawing Near in Trust and Surrender

Father, in Jesus’ name, we come to You acknowledging that without You we can do nothing, but with You all things are possible. Teach us to trust You beyond what our eyes can see. Strengthen our inner man so that we do not bow to fear, anxiety, or negative reports. Renew our minds with Your Word until Your promises feel more real than our problems. Pull down every stronghold of doubt and unbelief. Holy Spirit, help us to hear Your voice clearly and obey quickly. We surrender old disappointments, past failures, and hidden shame at Your feet. Breathe fresh fire into our hearts. Let our faith be bold, our love be deep, and our obedience be immediate. May our lives display the goodness and power of God everywhere we go.

Grace Over Our Homes and Relationships

Lord, we lift up our families and every relationship connected to us. Cover our homes with Your peace. Where there has been tension, bring understanding. Where there has been silence, bring healing conversations. Restore broken trust between husbands and wives, parents and children, siblings and friends. Let forgiveness flow like a river through our homes. We declare that our households will serve the Lord, walk in unity, and be filled with laughter, honor, and compassion. Surround our loved ones—near and far—with Your presence and draw each one closer to You. Make our homes lighthouses of Your love in our neighborhoods.

Healing for Body, Mind, and Emotions

Jesus, You are our Healer. We bring every sickness, pain, diagnosis, and hidden emotional wound to You right now. Let Your healing power flow through every cell, tissue, organ, and system in our bodies. Correct what is out of order, remove what does not belong, and restore what has been damaged. Calm racing thoughts, lift heavy burdens, and silence the voice of condemnation. Replace fear with peace, fatigue with strength, and despair with renewed hope. We receive wholeness—spirit, soul, and body—because by Your stripes we were healed. Let our health testify that we serve a living, miracle-working God.

Kingdom Favor in Work and Finances

Father, You are our Source, not the job, not the market, not the government. We bring our work, businesses, studies, and financial decisions before You. Grant us wisdom beyond our training and insight beyond our experience. Open doors that no man can shut and close doors
