Christine Caine Daily Devotional – October 13, 2026
If your heart feels a little tired today, you are not alone. Maybe you’re believing God for something that seems slow in coming, or you’re walking through a season that feels heavier than you expected. As you read this, pause and remember: God sees you right now. He is not distant, distracted, or indifferent. The same God who has carried you through every other hard day is here in this one, ready to breathe courage, hope, and fresh faith into you. Today, let this devotional be a quiet space where your soul can exhale, your faith can rise again, and your heart can remember that in Jesus, your story is not over—He is still writing something beautiful.
Anchored By God’s Unshakeable Promise
“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.” (Hebrews 10:23, NIV) This verse doesn’t ask you to cling to hope because you feel strong; it invites you to hold on because God is faithful. Your confidence does not rest in your performance, your timeline, or your understanding of how everything will work out. It rests in the character of God. When Scripture says, “He who promised is faithful,” it means God cannot abandon His word over your life. Even when circumstances shift, His promise does not. When your emotions fluctuate, His faithfulness stays the same. Today, you can dare to hope again—not because everything looks perfect, but because the One who holds your future has never failed and never will.
Faith For The Middle Of The Story
Most of us love testimonies with neat endings, but we actually live most of our lives “in the middle”—between the promise and the fulfillment. That middle place can be confusing, lonely, or even disappointing. Yet this is where deep faith is formed. In the middle, you learn to trust God’s heart when you don’t understand His hand. In the middle, you choose worship over worry, obedience over convenience, and hope over cynicism. Today, instead of asking, “When will this end?” try asking, “Lord, what are You forming in me through this?” Take one practical step of faith—make the hard phone call, forgive the person, apply for the job, open your Bible, or get back up after a setback. Small steps in the right direction, done consistently with Jesus, lead to God-sized breakthroughs over time.
Drawing Near In Faith And Surrender
Father, in Jesus’ name, I bring my faith before You today. I confess that sometimes I feel weary, distracted, or discouraged, but I choose to anchor my trust in who You are. Grow my faith beyond feelings and convenience. Teach me to rely on Your Word, not my worries. Where doubt has crept in, shine Your light. Where fear has taken root, replace it with bold confidence in Your goodness. Help me surrender my timelines and expectations, and rest in the assurance that You are at work even when I cannot see it. Holy Spirit, shape my desires, soften my heart, and make me more like Jesus. Strengthen my spirit so that I won’t give up, back down, or let go of the promises You’ve spoken over my life. I choose to believe that what You started in me, You will finish.
Covering Our Homes In God’s Peace
Lord, I lift my family and loved ones to You. You know every need, every fear, every hidden ache. Bring Your peace into our home and our relationships. Break cycles of anger, misunderstanding, and distance. Heal places where words have wounded and where silence has created walls. Unite our hearts in love, honor, and mutual respect. Protect marriages, restore strained relationships between parents and children, and surround single parents and those living alone with Your felt presence. May our homes become sanctuaries where Your name is honored, Your Word is believed, and Your love is experienced daily. Let forgiveness flow freely, laughter return where it has been absent, and Your joy be the atmosphere we breathe.
Strength For Our Bodies And Souls
Jesus, You are our healer. I bring my body, my mind, and my emotions before You. Where there is sickness, pain, or weakness, stretch out Your healing hand. Guide doctors, nurses, and caregivers with wisdom and skill. Strengthen my immune system, renew my energy, and help me steward my health well—through rest, wise choices, and self-control. For anxiety, depression, stress, or emotional exhaustion, breathe Your peace over
